FBI: International ended its season 4 fall finale on a suspenseful cliffhanger that worried many fans if a fan-favorite character would return. In season 4, episode 8, titled You'll Never See It Coming, a sniper shoots Vinessa Vidotto's character, Cameron Vo, from the back, and the bullets hit her collarbone. Besides fracturing her collarbone, it also damages her subclavian vein.
Vo loses a lot of blood, which viewers see in Wes Mitchell's hands. While she is quickly taken to the hospital, Greg Csonka, Wes' archnemesis, escapes. Csonka is the robbery crew's leader.
Vo is immediately rushed to surgery at the hospital. However, things take a turn for the worse for her character when Raines informs the Fly Team that there was a complication that arose during her surgery and "It doesn't look good."
She has not only lost a lot of blood, but the bullet hit a major vein and caused her body to go into shock. The unexpected turn in the plot left fans visibly surprised, causing them to wish for their favorite character to make it alive. Take a look at some fan reactions below:
"pretty sure my heart stopped for a full 43 seconds 😭😭 the writers & carter redwood were INSANE for this!! #fbiinternational," one fan wrote.
"PLEASEE LET HER LIVE," another said.
"That's it. I’m NEVER letting myself get attached to a character ever again😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔 Can we please just let Vo live😭😭😭😭 #FBIInternational," another fan said.
This has left viewers wondering if the actress playing the role, Vinessa Vidotto, is exiting the series.
In FBI: International, Cameron Vo is fighting for her life
Throughout FBI: International season 4, Csonka has been a chip on Wes' shoulder, even killing his partner, Mike Brooks. Wes is determined to avenge his late partner's murder.
However, the case against Csonka starts to crumble when he beats up his case's star witness—a person who would testify against him in court. Words are exchanged between him and Wes.
Eventually, Csonka admits that he committed a crime and is sentenced to 30 years in a Hungarian prison facility. Unfortunately, during his transport, a car accident involving a truck makes the perfect scene for a gateway. As Csonka runs away, Wes and Vo follow him. Unbeknownst to them, it's a trap, and a sniper is waiting to take a shot. Cameron Vo unexpectedly takes a bullet.
Vinessa Vidotto has not announced her exit
It remains to be seen if Cameron Vo, played by Vinessa Vidotto, will pull through. There has been no announcement by the actress or the network that airs the show, CBS, on her departure from the police procedural.
Fans are awestruck that Vidotto might exit the series. The show has also been building up to a possible romance between her and Wes.
If Vidotto does exit FBI: International, it will be on the heels of Luke Kleintank's exit last season. Luke played the former Fly Team leader Scott Forrester.
In the final moments of the season 4 fall finale episode, Wes teams up with Tyler and vows to take revenge for Cameron's life. He says:
"We're gonna find Csonka. I promise you that. And when we do, we're taking our badges off."
Wes and Tyler will pursue Csonka and take revenge "by any means necessary," even if it means jeopardizing their jobs.
Fans will have to wait for a few weeks to find out Cameron Vo's fate since the show is on hiatus. The CBS series will come back on air on January 28, 2025.
