All eight episodes of The Madness were released on Netflix on November 28, 2024. This individual's name was Mark Simon who was the head of a white supremacist group called The Forge, which became an important part of the show's storyline. The Forge conducted its business independently, however, its crucial elements were usually handled and sometimes manipulated by members of a big company called Revitalize.
The Forge played an important part in The Madness's narrative
The Madness premised itself around Muncie Daniels' character who found himself at the crossroads after discovering the leader of The Forge (a white supremacist group), Mark Simon, in a cabin in the Pocono woods. In the absence of ample evidence, Simon's death's blame directly fell on Daniels.
Daniels, who was innocent, did not have the means to prove that he was not associated with the deed. Therefore, after the incident occurred, the authorities immediately pursued him. On the other hand, Daniels attempted to run away from them and gather information that would clear out his name.
This exercise led him to a company called Revitalize and its head, data analyst Rodney Kraintz, who called the hit on Mark after they had a business-related fallout. Besides finding the person's identity, Daniels also discovered how The Forge and Revitalize functioned together to spread misinformation in society, specifically through social media.
He discovered that Revitalize focused on transforming talking points and policies the company deemed significant into an easily understandable format that could appeal to a broader audience. In this manner, the organization managed the political discourse in America and leveraged it to gather substantial funds for the election campaigns that aligned with their interests.
The company supported Mark and his organization The Forge's cause for a substantial period, and The Forge also rendered its services to the company accordingly. However, things started to heat up when Revitalize started working independently and Mark Simons started noticing some trends that could harm his follower base.
Therefore, outraged that Revitalize would harm American "patriots," Mark had resolved to reveal the lethal secret of the company with assistance from famous YouTuber Laura Jennings (portrayed by Bri Neal) before the upcoming elections. However, before Revitalize's truth could come out, both Mark and Laura were killed.
Was the mastermind behind the incidents in The Madness killed in the end?
Rodney Kraintz, who was the mastermind behind Mark Simon's killing and Muncie Daniels's framing for the same, was eventually killed by the end of The Madness. However, it wasn't Muncie who pulled the trigger. This is because when the opportunity arrived, he was unable to act.
Instead, the task was carried out by Bobby, a member of The Forge, who was informed by Lucie about Rodney's involvement in their leader's death. He shot him in broad daylight, instantly killing him.
