Kevin Can F**k Himself is a dark comedy television series that first aired on the AMC+ platform on June 13, 2021, following its premiere on AMC on June 20, 2021.

In August 2021, the series announced the second season of the show, which released on August 22, 2022. The show stars Annie Murphy as Allison Devine McRoberts and Eric Petersen as Kevin McRoberts.

The show follows Allison McRoberts, who is stuck in an unhappy marriage with her immature husband, Kevin. The show contrasts her life as a sitcom wife and drama that reveals her struggles. As the story develops and Allison seeks freedom, it shows a stark difference between what's shown and what's real.

Why is there no Kevin Can F**k Himself season 3?

Kevin Can F**k Himself season 3 wasn't in the offing since 2021, when the makers announced the making of season 2 and addressed it as “the second and the final season.”

The announcement hints at the possibility that the show was always meant to end with its second season, explaining why there has been no Kevin Can F**k Himself season 3.

However, there isn’t any statement made by the show makers about a possible Kevin Can F**k Himself season 3.

In a 2022 interview with Decider Valerie Armstrong, the creator of the show said that she had always planned to put an end to Kevin’s story in the eight episodes of the second season.

“I feel there are no filler episodes… there’s an identifiable thing about each one that makes it fun to watch,” said Valerie.

By the end of season 2 of the show Kevin Can F**k Himself, the story arcs of all the characters felt complete, as the complications and problems in their lives were solved with no cliffhangers left.

With all the characters given closure, Kevin Can F**k Himself season 3 might not fulfill the expectations of the makers in terms of the viewership and an exciting storyline.

Additionally, the viewership can also be another reason behind the series ending with just two seasons.

Season 2 saw a 36% decrease in its target audience and an even larger 44% drop in total viewers. However, this data doesn't account for those who watched later or through streaming services.

Nevertheless, it's pertinent to note that AMC and the makers have never denied or canceled the potential making of Kevin Can F**k Himself season 3.
