Women in Blue season 1 is an upcoming Apple TV+ series scheduled to release on July 31. It follows the story of Mexico's first female police force, set up in the 1970s, and the four women who will comprise it.
However, the women quickly realize the blatant power imbalance within the force as they deal with the more established men in charge of everything. Further complicating matters is the Tlalpan Undresser, a serial killer who preyed on women and outraged the female population of Mexico.
When the police treat the women on the force dismissively despite their eagerness to solve the serial killer's case, they grow suspicious about whether their positions on the police force were genuine to begin with or whether it was all just a publicity stunt.
The lead actors in Apple TV's Women in Blue season 1 are Natalia Tellez, Barbara Mori, Ximena Sarinana, and Amorita Rasgado. Read on for the full cast list.

Women in Blue season 1 deals with gender discrimination and police incompetence
Women in Blue season 1 tackles themes of feminism and tokenism in the way it covers the story of Mexico's first female police force. While publicly, women are being allowed in to address long-standing gender inequality, privately, the whole thing is implied to be a publicity stunt.
The police have been facing public backlash due to their inability to catch the Tlapan Undresser, a serial killer brutalizing the country's women. The four women who serve as the protagonists of the show, Valentina, Maria, Angeles, and Gabina, are eager to investigate this matter, only to be rebuffed by the men around them.
Realizing that they won't be allowed to meaningfully contribute to police work, the four begin to rebel and take matters into their own hands.
An early review by Collider has been positive towards Women in Blue season 1, praising the characterization and storytelling of the show. Women in Blue season 1 will air exclusively on Apple TV+.
