Who will be starring in the upcoming Yellowstone Spin-Off and when can the audiences expect to see it?
Deadline on Wednesday reported that, based on its insider information, Yellowstone was getting a spin-off series that would focus on Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser's characters Bethany "Beth" Dutton and Rip Wheeler, respectively.
The publication also mentioned that the upcoming show's events will pick up from those of Yellowstone season 5 part 2's concluding episode, which is scheduled for release on December 15, 2024.
That said, the publication did not provide a specific release date for the forthcoming project, as the show is still in the preparatory phase. Audiences are, however, anticipating more news on the same as time passes.
Will Kevin Costner be returning to the Yellowstone Spin-Off series?
Kevin Costner is unlikely to return to the Yellowstone Spin-Off show centering on Rip and Beth's characters as the actor, director, and producer parted ways with the show after Yellowstone season 5 part 2 (5A) ended. In an Instagram video post dated June 21, 2024, Costner addressed his fans and said:
“I want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon and doing all the things that’s required, and thinking about Yellowstone, that beloved series that I love, that I know you love, I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue Season 5B or into the future."
Additionally, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards his Yellowstone fanbase for supporting him all these years. He said:
“It was something that really changed me. I loved it. And I know you loved it. And I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning and I love the relationship we’ve been able to develop and I’ll see you at the movies.”
Before Costner's video addressing his departure was made public, various theories about his exit were circulating widely. While many suggested a possible fallout between Costner and the show's producers, neither he nor any other individuals involved have substantiated or refuted these claims.
