Puma Schroder All Pro Nitro basketball shoe is scheduled to be launched on June 1, 2024, at 9.00 am. It will be priced at $150 once it comes to the market. The brand keeps a neutral color palette in this upcoming drop with touches of black, accentuating the contemporary fashion flairs.
Puma All Pro Nitro basketball shoes, a worthy descendant of Clyde All Pro Nitro, arrived back in 2021. The distinctive feature of the shoe is the Nitro SQD foam technology which enhances the experience of the basketball athletes.

The connection between Puma and basketball is not new. While the German brand is highly renowned for its standout pieces of running and football footwear, it has also garnered a gamut of basketball shoes.
It all began with Walt Clyde Frazier, the legendary basketball player. The collaboration between them created the shoe line of Clyde All Pro Nitro sneakers. Acknowledging the basketball player's legacy, the brand states on its website:
"Our mindset is embodied by one of our own, Walt Clyde Frazier. Clyde himself made basketball culture what it is today – the style, the swag, the persona. He used the game as a platform to express interests in fashion, music, and entertainment."
Puma website further states:
"His footwear was an extension of this mindset and our inspiration to get back on the court. He was the first modern NBA player to be as impactful off the court as he was on the court."
The Nitro foam is one of the avant-garde innovations of the brand. The inclusion of the technology can be seen in most Puma sneakers from running to basketball shoes. The injection of nitrogen gas mixture in the sole brings out the lightweight feeling to the sneakers while it helps to bounce better.
Todd Falker, the Head of Product Line Management for Run/Rrain Footwear, told the Running Magazine in May 2023:
"Puma started rethinking our approach to running in 2018, because technologies in the industry were advancing quickly. As the ‘Forever Faster’ brand, we needed to be at the forefront of those innovations and quickly got to work kicking off our long-term NITRO strategy."
The upcoming All Pro Nitro sneakers feature a blend of mesh, synthetic, and textile upper, accented in Puma Gold. At the mudguard and lateral side, it is crafted with the panel design, maintaining the OG All Pro Nitro sneaker models.
On the other hand, the sole system boasts a rubber outsole with a criss-cross pattern, ensuring better traction on the hard court. The midsole is crafted in synthetic material which can provide good support to runners' feet.
Introducing the sneaker model, the brand mentions on its website:
"The Schröder All-Pro NITRO™ Basketball Shoe combines PUMA technology with sophisticated design. NITRO™ technology provides responsive and lightweight cushioning, giving you an extra boost with every possession. The technical mesh upper ensures optimal breathability."
The shoe description also states:
"Whether you're a professional athlete or a basketball enthusiast, the All-Pro NITRO™ gives you the perfect blend of comfort, style and performance to show them who's boss. Just ask Dennis Schröder."
On the upper, the sneakers incorporate the Puma form black stripes in the lining design. The padded tongue, tinted in a light tan shade, seamlessly balances the color palette overall. On the tongue, the brand places the signature of Dennis Schröder, followed by "Hard work pays off" text.
On the golden Puma, the panther is placed on a black triangular plate, adding sophistication to the sneakers.
