Minecraft gaming legends Clay "Dream" and George "GeorgeNotFound" have grown together, and a considerable part of their achievements come from their collaboration videos and streams. These content creators have amassed a fanbase spanning millions across YouTube and Twitch.

The two met online through the MunchyMC Minecraft server released in 2015, where they both worked as developers. Dream explained the situation in a Twitch livestream in 2020 and stated he reached out to George initially about making a plug-in for the server but never got a response.

They eventually started making content together and formed "The Dream Team" alongside Twitch streamer Sapnap soon after.

Early associations

Dream started his YouTube career in 2014, but it wasn't until 2019 that he began to take off. He is well-known for the enormously successful "Minecraft Manhunt" series, creative content, and strategic gameplay. His quick ascent to fame is frequently credited to his mastery of the YouTube algorithm as well as his capacity to produce interesting and viral content.

On the other hand, British YouTuber GeorgeNotFound signed up in 2013. But just like Dream, he became well-known in 2019. The 27-year-old creator has a devoted following and a prominent role in the Minecraft community thanks to his talent for producing entertaining content.

The two had a brief interaction in 2016 through the MunchyMC server, and after his journey in developing Minecraft, Dream reached out to George to collaborate on gameplay videos, the latter enthusiastically accepted the offer.

The widely successful Minecraft Manhunt series brought the duo into the limelight, with each video having at least 2.5 million views, with some surpassing 10 million.

Their first collaboration was the start of a string of collaborative projects that would propel them both to unprecedented levels of fame.

The streamers soon found that their distinct styles were a wonderful match. They made a dynamic and entertaining team because Dream's methodical and analytical approach to Minecraft counterbalanced George's impulsive and comical antics.

The pair met each other in 2023, and this was a big moment for the internet since the two had never interacted in person, mainly due to Dream's past anonymity and the physical distance between them.

Multiple Minecraft gamers and internet personalities joined the server, causing it to blow up in popularity.

GeorgeNotFound's participation in the server resulted in a sharp rise in followers on several platforms. By mid-2023, his YouTube channel had over 10 million subscribers, up from about a million at the beginning of 2020. Similar trends could be seen in his Twitch channel, which gained over 5 million followers in the same period from a few hundred thousand users.

His follower count on social media sites like Instagram and Twitter skyrocketed to millions, a testament to his increasing notoriety and influence.

Dream's channel also grew rapidly, with over 30 million followers by the middle of 2023, compared to just a million at the start of 2020. This quick growth was made possible in large part by the SMP. He has almost 6 million followers on Twitch, despite streaming less regularly than some of his contemporaries. This is a notable rise in followers.

Thanks to his work on the server and his wider material, The 24-year-old's social media presence has grown significantly, as evidenced by his millions of followers on both platforms.

The Dream SMP finally closed officially on April 10, 2023. A sad day for fans of the group, since the server had become a hub for some of the most popular Minecraft content creators, including TommyInnit and Technoblade. Reflective streams, touching messages, and a celebration of the community that had grown around the server characterized the last few days of the server.

Since then collaborations between the two have been fewer, amid some controversy from Dream and the allegations surrounding George as well as the former starting a music career. Nevertheless, through innovative Minecraft content or philanthropic efforts, they have established an era in Minecraft gaming.
