CS:GO icon and popular content creator Shroud has doubled down on the thought of creating a Marvel Rivals organization. In a recent stream, the creator announced that if he hits a donation goal of $1 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, he will go ahead and create a Marvel Rivals team. Afterward, during a stream on January 26, 2025, Shroud revealed that he might just create a team regardless:
"For context of what I said is, if we hit a million Dollars raised to St. Jude's, I'll make an org for Marvel Rivals, that'll be my first game. I don't know if we'll hit a million, probably not, but that is what I said. Anyway, the point of what I'm saying is, there's a chance that it might happen either way."
Shroud has been consistently participating in Fragathon, an event where he will donate $1 to a charity for every in-game kill. As of the time of writing, he has managed to collect over $300,000.
As of January 27, 2025, the goal of reaching $1 million appears difficult as per Shroud. If he does reach the count, it will inevitably allow him to create a Marvel Rivals organization. The streamer has developed a deep interest in the NetEase Games title, and even believes that he may be playing it for the rest of his life.
Shroud gets approached by organizations to make a Marvel Rivals team
In his January 26, 2025 stream, Shroud also revealed that multiple organizations have approached him about creating a Marvel Rivals team.
"I have tons of top orgs messaging me to try to figure out a way to get me in the Marvel Rivals space to build a team in Marvel Rivals. I'm not kidding, tons of meetings have already happened. People have messaged my agency. People have messaged me. It's gone around."
These messages may have been a direct result of him announcing his interest in an earlier stream. Thus, it is now evident that Shroud has enough support from the community to fulfill his desire. Furthermore, he even explained how many meetings had already taken place to discuss the idea.
The gaming icon had previously noted that although he may not be an active player on the said team, he would still like to enter the space and make his mark on a game that he has come to thoroughly enjoy.
