Darren "IShowSpeed" is going viral after a clip of him performing a backflip on top of a hand sculpture in the mountains of Guatemala was shared on social media on January 14, 2025. The YouTuber is known for his athletic feats and spontaneous backflips during his IRL streams. This time, he executed the risky move on a statue jutting out from a mountain in a national park in Antigua Guatemala.
IShowSpeed is currently embarking on a South America tour, visiting nine different countries in the region. He kicked off his journey in Colombia on January 13, 2025, and headed to Guatemala on the second day.
The stunt the 19-year-old performed on the hand sculpture in the national park was particularly perilous due to its location on the side of a mountain. Before attempting the backflip on what he dubbed "The Hand of God," the streamer said:
"Okay this is very dangerous, I am about to do a backflip off The Hand of God. If I fall, it's over with."
Despite the risk, he successfully landed the backflip and celebrated with a triumphant shout:
"Let's go, let's go!"
