Is Frogan HasanAbi's Twitch mod? Streamers' association explored

Controversial Twitch streamer Morgan "Frogan" landed in the spotlight recently, after making some contentious remarks on one of her streams. For those unaware, Frogan is a 27-year-old streamer, who previously worked as a public health expert. Another one of her previous jobs involved working as a moderator for fellow Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan "HasanAbi."

She used to moderate Hasan's Discord server and Twitch streams. However, she has now made a name for herself and no longer works as a moderator for the streamer. Moreover, at the time of writing, she had over 59K followers, although the recent controversy got her a 30-day ban from Twitch.

Frogan's association with HasanAbi is well documented by now. Despite her various controversies, Hasan has publicly voiced his support for her. In May 2024, Frogan was criticized for using the word 'cr*cker' to describe Ludwig (considered to be an offensive slur used to describe white people). Defending her actions, Hasan said:

"No, I don't give a s**t about, like, someone being called a cr*cker. Okay? As someone who is White and is, like, used that word myself, I think that people that are using that to be like, 'This is a racial slur against White people,' is like f**king ridiculous."

What is the recent controversy involving Frogan?

Frogan has faced a lot of backlash after making some controversial comments during one of her streams. A clip went viral in which she expressed that she had no "pity" for U.S. soldiers and hoped they would develop PTSD. She was heard saying:

"I have no pity at all for any f**king soldiers! I will never, ever have any f**king pity for any f**king soldiers! US military? Boo-f**king-who! I hope you get PTSD. You know? The ones, I'm like, whatever about, the US soldiers, are the ones that acknowledge that what they did was wrong. They didn't know back then. Whatever, you're the person in my book."

Naturally, this sparked a wave of critical comments, and Twitch decided to suspend her channel for 30 days. Despite the controversy, the streamer claimed the ban was due to a tier list she created, which included a section labeled 'Loves Sabra.'

In response to the ban, Hasan offered a rather diplomatic reaction, stating that there wasn’t much he could do about the situation. He said:

"There is nothing I can do. There is nothing I can do. All I can do is just take it. Just like Caprisunnpapi and Frogan and everyone else who is getting banned in this mass ban wave, all they can do is take it. It's gross and unhinged and completely untrue and I don't know what to say."
