Kai Cenat's robot has become a viral sensation among the Twitch star's fanbase after its hilarious interactions with record producer Benny Blanco and singer-songwriter Chris Brown. The robot has been making regular appearances during Cenat's ongoing subathon, dubbed Mafiathon 2.
The robot's unpredictable nature has raised speculations regarding its authenticity, specifically after it was seen "attacking" Blanco, and in another instance, undergoing a technical malfunction while in the room with Chris Brown.
The robot, Eve, is produced by 1X Technologies, an AI robotics company specializing in creating humanoid robots capable of emulating human behaviors and actions. It is a remote-controllable robot, which means it can be controlled by a human off-screen during Cenat's broadcasts.
However, it operates autonomously by default and uses artificial intelligence. It can perform tasks such as opening doors with different handles, identifying objects or individuals from a distance, as well as move through disorganized environments by making use of its built-in cameras and sensors.
What is Kai Cenat's robot capable of? Exploring moments that made it famous within the Twitch streamer's fanbase
Kai Cenat's 1X Eve robot is 6 foot 2 inches or 1.86 meters tall and weighs 192 pounds or approximately 86 kilograms. It is capable of moving at 9mph or 14.4kmph at its top speed and has a carrying capacity of 33 pounds, or approximately 15 kilograms. Further, it can operate for six hours after being charged for one.
In fact, it is an earlier model. There is a more recent version as well, NEO Beta, which is even more humanoid in appearance and supposedly even more capable than Eve.
In a clip that emerged from Kai Cenat's collaborative stream with Benny Blanco, one of the Eve robots owned by the streamer could be seen flipping off Blanco. Meanwhile, another Eve robot turned "red" and started moving towards the record producer in a threatening manner at high speed.
The robots were following Cenat's voice commands, which is a function available as part of Eve's feature set. However, it is unclear whether the "attack" itself was orchestrated using a remote control or by simply utilizing voice commands.
Another hilarious clip came out of Kai Cenat's collaborative broadcast with Chris Brown as part of the former's Mafiathon 2 subathon. In it, Cenat and Brown could be seen talking to the audience and eating food, when Cenat's Eve robot simply fell on the floor while seemingly carrying out tasks in the background.
The robot made a loud noise as it fell, grabbing the attention of both the streamer and the hip-hop artist, who also let out a laugh upon realizing what had happened. Attempts by the two to pick it up were futile, and the pair made their way back to their seats while the robot remained on the ground.
Kai Cenat recently became the first Twitch streamer in history to cross 500,000 concurrent subscribers on the platform. In doing so, he beat the record of 326,000 subscribers held by Ironmouse.
