A new controversy has erupted in the content creation community, involving prominent internet personalities Logan Paul and Theo Von. It all started on January 20, 2025, when a 20-second video surfaced on social media, showing Theo Von falling from a chair while attending Donald Trump's inauguration with Jake and Logan Paul.
The clip went viral on X, garnering millions of impressions. Netizens had a lot to say about the situation, with some suspecting Logan was involved in some way:
"Logan Paul filming means he knew something was gonna go down, lol," X user @souletuc commented.
"I'm sure it was an accident just in time for Logan Paul to take a video of it!" @tpsojda remarked.
"Why on Logan it was just meant for us to see," @CLeezyGo tweeted.
"Yeah, a comedian 'accidentally' fell down with one of the world's biggest social media influencers 'accidentally' filming. Sure," @beauhightowerdn stated.
"Theo Von Looking at Logan Paul afterwards knowing he purposely messed with his chair. 'Oh did you record that for clicks?'" X user @X_Spire wrote.
Theo Von accuses the Paul brothers of "messing with the chair" that led to him falling at Donald Trump's inauguration, Logan Paul responds
On January 21, 2025, Theo Von broke his silence on the viral situation, stating that his fall from the chair during Donald Trump's inauguration "wasn't an accident." While accusing the Paul brothers of "messing with the chair" at the event, the popular podcaster posted on X:
"Wasn't an accident. Paul kids thought it was (face with tears of joy emoji) to mess with the chair. There's a time and a place, ya know? L."
Logan eventually responded to Theo's allegation in an X post captioned, "Innocent until proven guilty, this is America!" While claiming that the latter "knowingly sat" in a broken chair, the 29-year-old remarked:
"Theo Von knowingly sat in a broken, busted a** chair before the inauguration even started, and we even pointed it out to him! Danica Patrick saw it. Kyle Forgeard from NELK saw it. My mom saw it. Everyone saw it! Jake and I filmed the whole inauguration, I just trimmed that little clip, and posted it because I thought it was funny. And, by the way, it was funny, bro! You know that's not me. I'm a WWE superstar! That's how you know it wasn't me. You went to a chair, not a table. Trust me, if I wanted to hurt you with a steel chair, I would do it! And I certainly wouldn't do it for free."
Theo Von responded to Logan Paul's explanation of the situation on the same day, by stating that the influencer should "at least pay him to take a fall":
"Not what I heard. I don't work for free either long dog. At least pay me to take a fall. Aint that how y'all operate? (Rat and Crown emojis)"
As of this writing, Logan has not responded to Theo's X post mentioned above.
