Streamers, content creators and YouTubers have pretty much dominated the online community over the past few years. These individuals have also managed to acquire celebrity-like statuses, becoming household names to many. With millions of followers to their names, it's natural that these creators also have massive social media presence.
Streamers, in particular, have become mainstream and some of them have some big numbers on their social media accounts. This article will look to explore five such streamers who have the most following on Instagram (as of June 2024).
(Note: This list will exclude the likes of MrBeast, KSI, Logan Paul, etc. since they are not essentially livestreamers, but simply content creators).
Top 5 streamers who have the most following on Instagram
1) IShowSpeed (18 million)
No name in the YouTub scene has dominated more than Darren "IShowSpeed" over the past couple of years. He recently overtook Raul "AuronPlay" to become the most-followed streamer on the meta-backed website. At the time of writing, IShowSpeed has over 18 million followers to his name.
IShowSpeed has also dominated the numbers on his other accounts, such as on YouTube where he has over 25 million subscribers (a number that keeps on rising at a fast pace). For those unfamiliar with his content, he mostly does desktop streams. Although now and then he hosts IRL streams as well.
2) AuronPlay (17.9 million followers)
As already indicated, Raul Alvarez Genes aka "AuronPlay" was recently overtaken by IShowSpeed to be the most-followed streamer on Instagram. This means that at the time of writing, AuronPlay holds the 2nd position on the podium. The Spanish creator has a whopping 17.9 million followers on his official Instagram account.
AuronPlay also holds the second position when it comes to having subscribers on Twitch. He has over 16.3 million followers on the Amazon-owned streaming platform. He streams games like Minecraft and Grant Theft Auto V, and also streams under the Just Chatting category.
3) El Rubius (17.7 million followers)
The third name on the list is another Spanish-speaking channel - Ruben "El Rubius." He is incredibly popular on Twitch and has a massive fan base on Instagram. Currently, he boasts over 17.7 million followers on Instagram, which puts him just 300K away from the top spot.
For those unfamiliar with him, El Rubius primarily plays Minecraft on his streams. Additionally, he also plays Fortnite and other smaller titles. He is the fourth most-followed streamer on Twitch and the third most-followed among non-English speakers, with 15 million followers.
4) Ninja (12.3 million followers)
The penultimate name on the list is Tyler "Ninja." Ninja has been in the content creation scene for years and is easily one of the most recognizable faces in the streaming community. As of now, the Fortnite player boasts a substantial count of 12.3 million followers on Instagram, making him the fifth most-followed streamer there.
On Twitch, he still holds the top spot for having the most followers. He currently has over 19 million followers, making him the biggest creator on the Amazon-owned streaming platform. Ninja mostly streams Fortnite.
5) Ibai (10 million followers)
Ibai, also known as Ibai Llanos, is the last name on the list. The Spanish-speaking creator is extremely popular in the streaming community. Ibai currently boasts just over 10 million followers on Instagram. He is tied with fellow Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, but has a few thousand more followers at the time of writing.
Ibai mostly streams under the Just Chatting category but is more famous for hosting some of the biggest streaming events, such as the influencer boxing event La Velada del Año. He also has a team called Porcinos FC in the King's League.
