YouTube content creator Jimmy "MrBeast" is among the most popular figures on the platform. Despite his influence on the internet, the North Carolina native has been the subject of several controversies due to his content and recent allegations against him, which reportedly include "hiring" and "protecting" a sex offender.
This article will attempt to cover all the major allegations MrBeast has faced over the past few months (as of August 2024).
Here is the list of all major allegations faced by MrBeast
Allegations from Rosanna Pansino
Rosanna Pansino, a content creator, previously appeared in a MrBeast video. Recently, she accused the YouTuber of "faking" his videos and not following through on his promises. For instance, she pointed out how Jimmy had claimed he would delete Airrack's channel if he failed a challenge, which he ultimately did not do.
"Airrack was caught faking most of the videos for this 'challenge' with MrBeast. Jimmy promised to delete Airrack's channel if he failed. I'm wondering why he didn't delete Airrack's channel. Could it be because it's fake?"
She also claimed that several participants from an upcoming MrBeast video (Beast Games) had messaged her, stating that their underwear and medicines had been taken. She wrote:
"Jimmy’s production team took every contestant’s underwear and medicine from them for some weird reason. They were told they would be given back each night to change but were not. Multiple female contestant (sic) messaged me saying that Beast Games still has her underwear."
Allegations by DogPack404
In July 2024, DogPack404, a YouTuber and alleged former member of MrBeast's crew released a lengthy video titled "I Worked For MrBeast, He's A Fraud." In this upload, the individual makes several accusations, including that Jimmy "fakes" his videos. In the clip, he said:
"This train track is CGI (from the Train Vs Giant Pit video). These bus wheels are CGI. This explosion is fake (from the Train Vs Giant Pit video). This shredder is CGI (from the Lamborghini Vs World's Largest Shredder video). This car is digitally lifted (from the We Built a Jet Powered Car for MrBeast video). This pit is fake (from the Train Vs Giant Pit video)."
In the same video, DogPack404 also alleged that MrBeast hosted 'illegal lotteries and giveaways'. At one point, he plays a clip showing another employee signing a T-shirt on behalf of Jimmy during a giveaway stream. The clothing item was supposed to have MrBeast's signature on it.
In DogPack404’s second video on Jimmy, he alleged that the popular content creator and his team left debris at a film site, despite claims that it had been cleaned up. Additionally, the YouTuber accused MrBeast of putting pressure on and manipulating his employees (for instance, the producers are allegedly encouraged to lie to access certain locations).
Allegations by Jake Weddle
In August 2024, DogPack404 released another video titled "I Worked For MrBeast, He's A Sociopath." In it, he featured a guest named Jake Weddle, another one of MrBeast's former employees. This individual made additional accusations, including that Jimmy allegedly hired and protected a sex offender known as "Delaware."
Jake Weddle also released a video on his channel titled "The Real Reason I Left MrBeast," where he further criticized Jimmy, accusing him of manipulating kids through advertising and marketing strategies. In the video, he said:
"Can we think about how advertising and marketing... there's a lot of tricks... they literally trick you into buying stuff and... like video games with the microtransactions, that's all based on science targeted to kids and their brains."
Weddle also claimed that he was supposed to be a major part of the crew (alongside Jimmy, Chandler, and Kris). Despite this, he said that he was not given enough screentime:
"It was supposed to be Jimmy, Kris, Chandler [and] me, these were the conversations I had that I was in the writer's room and I was like, 'when do I get some screen time' and I never did, because I didn't agree with everything, I didn't like the content, I kinda thought a lot of people were a**holes."
Allegations from Nathan W
Ava Kris Tyson's former Discord moderator, Nathan W (@ImBrainFreak on X), leaked over 500K Discord chat logs on July 28, 2024. These included some inappropriate conversations featuring MrBeast.
One such interaction involving both Jimmy and Ava Kris Tyson (then Chris Tyson) took place in 2017 on a server that included some minors. The conversation went something like this, as per the chat logs:
"Discount Milk: No, he's not. His pen*s isn't big enough. I'd know. MrBeast: No, I know his pen*s size, and it's huge. CHRIS THE MEME GOD: Haha, @MrBeast joins in to comment on my pen*s size. I love it."
These are comments mentioned in the Discord October 5, 2017, chat logs. This server was particularly controversial since it also included some other inappropriate comments from Ava Kris Tyson (especially in front of minors). The server was later deleted.
Allegations by Vital Vegas
On July 28, 2024, Las Vegas-based news outlet Vital Vegas shared a detailed report alleging some mismanagement and a problematic environment created during Jimmy's upcoming project "Beast Games."
The report alleged that some of the participants were left dehydrated, and a hospital employee (reported to Vital Vegas) that the medical staff present during the video shoot wasn't adequate for the size of the project.
It's also worth noting that the fairness of the Beast Games also came into question. For instance, it was alleged that while the participants were divided into groups for the challenges, some of the groups had younger and stronger members, giving them an unfair advantage.
As of now, MrBeast has not released an official statement addressing the allegations that have been leveled against him and his team over the past month.
