During a livestream on September 4, 2024, popular content creators "Ludwig" Ahgren and Thomas "Sykkuno" bet on where Rachell "Valkyrae" would exclusively broadcast once her YouTube contract expires. While playing Among Us, Sykkuno inquired about Ludwig's experience livestreaming on the Google-owned platform.

Valkyrae joined the conversation and asked the Mogul Money Live host if he would broadcast on multiple platforms simultaneously, as recently announced by Benjamin "DrLupo" and Timothy "TimTheTatman."

Ludwig responded by sternly stating that he was "anti-multi-streaming." Sykkuno agreed with the Los Angeles-based personality's sentiments, saying that he, too, disliked the concept of multi-streaming.

Ludwig then asked Valkyrae what she planned on doing after her YouTube contract expires. She responded:

"I mean, I have so much time. I got till January. So, I'm chilling. (Sykkuno responds, 'That's only a few months.') That's, like, half a year!"

Sykkuno then decided to make a "psycho bet," claiming that the 100 Thieves co-owner would remain on YouTube. However, after hearing her laugh, the 33-year-old remarked:

"Guys, why don't we take a psycho bet? I'm going to take a bet right now - I think she's staying on YouTube. Now that she laughed after I said that, I'd like to change my bet."

Ludwig, meanwhile, expressed his desire to take a bet with odds of 1 to 100, stating that Valkyrae would switch platforms to Kick:

"I would like to take a 1 to 100 odds for Kick. She's been telling me she loves gambling. (Sykkuno responds, 'I would bet you a million bucks she ain't going to Kick, that's for sure.')"

Valkyrae, Pokimane, and Ludwig recently commented on why popular streamers are switching from YouTube to Twitch after their contracts expire

On September 2, 2024, Ludwig took to X to comment on DrLupo and TimTheTatman's announcement of their plans to return to Twitch, writing that "every" YouTube content creator "instantly swaps" platforms when their exclusive contract expires:

"Feels like every YouTube livestreamer instantly swaps back over to Twitch, or starts multistreaming, the moment their contract ends."

Valkyrae responded, stating that both platforms have their respective pros and cons:

"There's so many pros and cons to both platforms, I wish I could squish them into one."

Meanwhile, Imane "Pokimane" said YouTube streamers may "miss out on traffic" from game directories, adding that it "takes more effort to interact" with other content creators on the platform.
