Matthew Haag, known online by his alias 100 Thieves Nadeshot, has addressed the recent scandal involving Guy Beahm aka Dr DisRespect a day after he confirmed texting inappropriate messages to a minor led to him getting banned from Twitch in 2020.

Beahm's other fellow streamer friends, such as TimTheTatman and Nickmercs, have already spoken their pieces and made it clear that they cannot support his actions anymore. Now, Nadeshot talked about how people have been expecting him to release a statement about Dr DisRespect as Haag knew the controversial streamer quite intimately:

"You guys know me for a long time. Obviously, I have a relationship with Doc. Played golf a lot last year. Come on man, it's pretty much common sense how I feel about that. I've got a daughter now. I got people calling me out in my Twitter mentions like, 'Yo, why don't you got your pitchfork out? If you don't come out right now and say you don't f**king like this guy anymore, you're a piece of sh*t!'"

The 100 Thieves CEO went on to say that he did not think people would need him to spell out the fact that he doesn't support adults communicating inappropriately with minors:

"I'm like, dude, I really don't want to get into it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that I don't support talking to minors. I really don't bring drama to the stream very often, man, and I don't enjoy doing that."

100 Thieves Nadeshot joins list of streamers calling out Dr DisRespect for his recent admission

Prior to June 25, some of his friends like Nickmercs had defended Dr DisRespect after a former Twitch employee claimed that he had messaged a minor back in the day, which led to him getting permanently banned from the Amazon-owned platform. While many had called him out, a sizeable portion of the esports community supported him as there was no direct evidence.

Public perception took a sharp turn for the worse after Guy released a long statement on his official account on X and confirmed that he had texted an individual on Twitch Whisper while claiming that no illegal or criminal activity took place.

100 Thieves Nadeshot is only one of the few people who have openly distanced himself from Dr DisRespect. In fact, the streamer looked offended that as a father of a daughter he would have to clarify his stance on texting minors:

"But for anybody to question how I feel about another man's decisions, if you really have to guess on how I feel then I don't think you need to be in this stream, bro. Point blank, period."

Nadeshot went on to claim that people should not associate other's faults with him and stated:

"So, um, it's crazy brother, I don't know, it's crazy. I don't have any desire to be involved. That's what I hate about the internet. Somebody else makes a terrible decision, and it's like, 'If you don't f*cking talk about it, bro, you are just as bad.' I am like what?"

In the end, the 100 Thieves co-owner concluded his address by claiming that he would not be speaking any further on this matter:

"So, we are going to move past that. If you were looking to get much out of me, it ain't going to happen. All in all, bro, I had a great 48 hours."

Streamers aren't the only people trying to distance themselves from Dr DisRespect in the aftermath of his statement about texting a minor. Game publisher 2K has reportedly confirmed it will take out the YouTube streamer from NBA 2K24 in a future update due to the recent scandal.
