Kick streamer Tyler "Trainwreckstv" recently responded to remarks that were made by Blaire "QTCinderella" during the latest rendition of the Streamer Awards held on December 7, 2024. While taking the stage during the event, QTCinderella made some remarks toward Kick creators, bringing up their gambling-heavy focus and alleged harassment committed by Kick streamers during a TwitchCon event.

She had further claimed (during the Streamer Awards) that the Kick creators should attend KickCon instead but then stated that such a convention "for view bots" could not exist.

In a clip, Trainwreckstv responded to these statements by claiming that view-botting was "a thousand times" more prominent on Twitch than on Kick:

"I mean I guess everyone's a fifty-thousand viewer streamer on Twitch now. That was straight from the Cheesur sarcasm... You know, I saw on the Streamer Awards, which you know, shoutout to the production, QT, you know, she did a great job. But I keep seeing these jokes that Kick view bots, but it's like, I don't understand why people don't step back and realize that the problem is a thousand times worse on Twitch."

Trainwreckstv claims view botting is "worse" on Twitch in comparison to Kick

Trainwreckstv is one of the backers of Kick (alongside the website's co-founders Bijan Tehrani and Ed Craven). He is also a prominent streamer on the platform, having 350,000 followers associated with his account.

Also a Twitch streamer himself, Trainwreckstv pointed out that streamers who are "legitimate" often experience a change in viewership as they switch categories (for example, from a League of Legends-focused stream to a Just Chatting one). However, he claimed that the same could not be seen for many major creators on Twitch, implying that they were using deceptive means to maintain a steady viewership on their broadcasts.

He said:

"It's not some, like, new wave mainstream generational shift where now you maintain 50k viewers across all sections, like that's now how view count works, right? If you build a core community, right, in one section, and you see no drop off when you go to a completely random section you've never been to, it's like, it's very clear. Do you understand?"

In the clip of him talking about the view-botting situation on Twitch, Trainwreckstv reiterated the opinion given by fellow Kick streamer Félix "xQc" recently. For those unaware, xQc had responded to OTK member Matthew "Mizkif" claiming that Kick was going to become a "dead website" following the exit of Adin Ross, who had served as a prominent face of the platform for the past year.

xQc claimed that Mizkif had view-botted his broadcast for "a year straight down". Furthermore, he claimed that a double standard existed against Kick streamers, where they were called out on potential instances of view-botting but Twitch streamers were supposedly excused.
