IRL streamer Aaron "Ac7ionMan" has claimed that Twitch banned him on December 11, 2024, because he typed in the link to his Kick channel during a broadcast on the Amazon-owned platform. He took to X to reveal his side of the story after the news of his ban was reported by StreamerBans. According to the automated bot, this is his sixth ban.
Ac7ionMan protested his last ban on Twitch in September 2024, claiming that he was penalized for having fun on stream. This time around, he shared a screenshot of the official mail he got from the platform, explaining why he was banned.
However, he disregarded it in a subsequent post on X, claiming that he was banned because he typed his Kick channel link in a Twitch chat twice in 12 hours:
"I was banned for typing my kick link two times in 12 hours."
Exploring Ac7ionMan's Twitch ban after he typed link to his Kick channel in chat
Like many Twitch stars, Ac7ionMan started streaming on Kick in early 2023 after the platform launched with a lucrative payout package. Since then, he has divided his time between the two websites, mostly multi-streaming to both at the same time.
In his latest post on X, Ac7ionMan claimed that he was banned from Twitch for sharing a link to his Kick channel in chat. The screenshot he shared of the official email from the platform seemingly confirmed that the penalty was for "User Spam." Although spam typically refers to unwanted messages, the email clearly stated that posting links to a livestream on another platform is a bannable offense.
Here's the relevant part of the screenshot highlighting that sharing links to external livestreams is considered "violative conduct":
"Redirecting users to a live stream on another service via links on your Twitch streamer, such as in overlays, QR codes, broadcast titles, and go-live notifications."
Ac7ionMan expressed his displeasure with the ban, sarcastically remarking that he was relieved he wasn't jailed for the offense and that he "deserved it":
"Ahhhhh just woke up from my nap. No hard feelings on this ban. Definitely deserved this and had it coming. I hope I can stop being such a piece of sh*t. At least they spared me prison."
In a follow-up post, Ac7ionMan revealed that Twitch had banned him for three days for violating the TOS by linking his Kick channel.
