Islam Makhachev is a Russian mixed martial artist, emerging out of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. He is known for being one of the best fighters in the Lightweight division, which he currently dominates. Makhachev currently places number one in UFC's pound-for-pound ranking, which involves ranking a fighter's ability while adjusting for their weight class.

He is currently the world UFC lightweight champion as well and will be defending his title in an upcoming match-up on January 18, 2025. Makhachev will be going up against Armenian MMA artist Arman Tsarukyan, who is placed number one on UFC's lightweight rankings.

The post made by Adin Ross also revealed the date of the collaborative broadcast to be January 11, 2025. He wrote:

"Saturday , Jan 11 Adin x Islam"

In other news, Adin Ross recently decided to make peace with Twitch and political streamer Hasan "HasanAbi," asking the 33-year-old to sit down with him and settle their differences.

For context, Ross and HasanAbi previously condemned each other during their broadcasts, despite not being involved in an all-out feud. For instance, HasanAbi was one of the critics of Ross' broadcast featuring presential elect Donald Trump and argued that certain federal laws regarding donations were being affected.
