Kick streamer Adin Ross is reportedly unable to play NBA 2K25 after an update to the game made it unavailable for those already in possession of a copy until its release date. This is unfortunate news for Adin Ross, who had allegedly paid $10,000 for access to the title before it was officially released to the public. A picture also recently emerged of him and his friends each holding a copy of the game before its launch.

However, no information has been provided by the streamer or any other involved parties regarding the source from which it was acquired.

NBA 2K25, scheduled to be available for the general audience to purchase on September 6, 2024, has generated much talk lately due to the various revisions in the player ratings. The game also features a brand new indoor go-kart track feature that will allow players a chance to win 1 million VC (virtual currency) in-game.

Adin Ross will be unable to play NBA 2K25 before its release due to an in-game update

In prior posts on X, NBA 2K's Digital Marketing Director Ronnie 2K rubbished claims that he had threatened Adin Ross with a lawsuit after finding out that the latter possessed copies of NBA 2K25.

Ronnie 2K clarified that content creators were not permitted to livestream the game before it had been released without express permission from 2K Games. Furthermore, he said he had conversed with Adin Ross about not broadcasting the title on his kick channel.

Now, as per a post by NBA 2K content creator SplashEdition, an update has supposedly blocked access for individuals in possession of NBA 2K25 before it is officially released:

"Ni*** put an update to install to kick us out. These n****s not playing this 2K."

NBA 2K25's official soundtrack will feature a total of 61 tracks, including songs from artists such as Eminem, Killer Mike, Big Baby, KRS-One, Schoolboy Q, and Benny The Butcher, among others.
