Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed were left dumbfounded when they found out that viewers were placing bets on their viral Hardcore Minecraft marathon. The two content creators had been streaming the game for about four days when they came across the news.

Earlier this week, the pair started a challenge stream and vowed to complete Minecraft in the Hardcore mode, which is difficult as it features permanent deaths. They managed to reach the endgame boss in the first 13 hours before dying and restarting their attempt.

While streaming on August 21, 2024, Kai Cenat came across a post by @scubaryan_, which claimed that people were placing bets on whether the streamers would be able to finish the Hardcore Minecraft marathon before Friday (August 23, 2024). The Twitch star could not believe there was a gambling market for the broadcast and told IShowSpeed about it:

"Ain't no f**king way! People are currently betting on whether Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed will beat Minecraft by Friday. Bro, they are betting money, there's a whole market! There's a whole f**king market bro!"

"This is crazy": IShowSpeed reacts after Kai Cenat shows him social media post about people gambling over their Hardcore Minecraft marathon

Gambling and livestreaming may have a contentous relationship, but it appears this has not stopped people from placing bets on the outcome of the IShowSpeed x Kai Cenat Hardcore Minecraft marathon.

As mentioned, the two content creators had been playing Mojang's title for about four days when they came across social media posts suggesting that bets were being placed on whether they would finish the marathon before August 23, 2024.

IShowSpeed could not believe it when his friend read out @scubaryan_'s post on stream and asked for a link to verify:

"Wait, wait. Send me the link on Discord."

Cenat obliged and sent over the link:

"Bro there's whole f**king market, look bro. I've put it on Discord."

IShowSpeed responded:

"What the f**k! Nah, this is crazy!"

Cenat chimed in and claimed that the premise of the bet was disrespectful:

"But that's disrespectful, bro."

Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed have done video game collaborations before, and their last marathon together was when they played Chained Together while being tied to each with a chain in real life. However, unlike their Hardcore Minecraft run, the Chained Together marathon lasted only about half a day.
