British content creation group, Beta Squad, first challenged their American contemporaries AMP to a football match on June 2, 2024, held in London. The former, which includes the creators Chunkz, Sharky, AJ Shabeel, Niko Omilana, and KingKennyTV, invited AMP members, Kai Cenat, Agent 00, Duke Dennis, Fanum, ImDaviss, and Chrisnxtdoor, amongst others, to raise funds for The Water Project.

The scores at the end of the first match reflected a 6-6 draw, with fans and players alike demanding a rematch. On August 22nd, 2024, an announcement from the official AMP X page answered these demands. The announcement states that on October 12th, 2024, a rematch will be held in Miami, and tickets will be on sale from August 23rd onwards. Readers can purchase tickets here.

Beta Squad has been off the grid on a hiatus for a while now, and fans have been asking for more content from the group, considering their last upload was almost two months ago.

Revisiting AMP and Beta Squad's first match against each other

The charity football match between AMP and Beta Squad at Selhurst Park turned out to be as dramatic as it was entertaining. The game ended in a thrilling 6-6 draw, with a masked “Mystery Player” stealing the show by scoring twice for AMP, despite also scoring an own goal for their opponents.

Just when fans were gearing up for a penalty shootout, a pitch invasion by excited supporters brought the game to an abrupt halt. Daniel Sturridge had just leveled the score for AMP, but the chaos on the field meant the game couldn’t continue. The event was meant to raise funds for The Water Project, and despite the disruption, it left fans buzzing with anticipation for a possible rematch in the U.S.

Considering their first encounter had over 700,000 live viewers watching at one point, conducting the rematch makes plenty of sense for the two groups.
