Popular YouTube streamer IShowSpeed and Twitch star Kai Cenat's much anticipated Chained Together stream started on July 21 with pictures and clips from their collaboration going viral over social media. The duo had a special broadcast planned for the evening, with the streamers tying themselves together with a metal chain as they attempted to beat the indie game in one sitting.
Fans have always loved IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat's collaborations, and the popular content creators also have their own show on Rumble titled The Kai 'N Speed Show. Considering how both have become top content creators on their chosen platforms, there was a lot of hype around their Chained Together stream.
As the name of the indie game implies, player characters are chained together as they attempt to climb up an increasingly difficult obstacle course to escape hell. The fact that both the streamers have recreated their in-game scenario IRL by chaining themselves together is one of the highlights of the broadcast, with many fans commenting on it.
Here are some general reactions:
"Ancestors looking down like", wrote X user @Loqu4cious under a clip
"This guy does everything", said @regansinsider
Some noted that the idea of chaining themselves together is not exactly original as members of FaZe Clan did a Chained Together stream with the same premise a few weeks ago.
"stealing lacy and ron idea is crazy", wrote @sebsanchezz
As expected, many referred to how the situation looked considering the two black creators had chained themselves.
"Sending us black folks a few years back with this one Kai", mused @DTRJUICE
Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed's Chained Together started off quite chaotically with the streamers pulling on each other's IRL chains
The stream had become quite chaotic before they could even get into the game. For context, Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed were chained together in real life and were streaming from different floors. This naturally makes playing the game even more challenging than it already is. The two promptly started fighting each other by pulling on the chain soon after the stream started.
A clip shared by @FearedBuck went viral on social media and depicts both streamers in a tug-of-match of sorts after Kai pulled on the chain asking to see Speed before they started the game. What's more, the fighting continued well into the broadcast, with IShowSpeed sending his brother to "beat up" Kai Cenat at one point.
As mentioned by the streamers, they intend to keep playing Chained Together from their separate floors until they beat the game, and judging by the chaotic nature of the stream, it could take a fair few hours for them to be able to coordinate and complete it.
