Controversial internet personality Andrew Tate has shared his opinion on the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a rally held in Pennsylvania. A man opened fire at Trump from the top of a building a few hundred meters away from the area, with a bullet grazing his upper right ear. He was promptly crowded by several Secret Service agents and eventually taken off stage.
With investigations ongoing regarding the motive behind the attempt, the internet is rife with speculations regarding the events that unfolded on January 13, 2024. Andrew Tate made a post on X claiming that the attempt was part of an elaborate "coup" and called into question the effectiveness of the Secret Service. He wrote:
"They found an idiot. They let him on the roof. They let him set up a rifle. They ignored the warnings from the crowd about this man with a gun aimed at the president. They let him take shots at Trump. When trump fell down they took him out before he could talk. Coup."
Andrew Tate makes speculations regarding the safety of Donald Trump in light of recent assassination attempt
Andrew Tate is known to be an ardent supporter of Donald Trump, who is yet again standing as a candidate in the upcoming presidential elections to be held in November 2024. The creator had made a post on May 31, 2024, announcing that he would be donating $200,000 to Trump's campaign as a sign of support.
Discussing the topic of Donald Trump's safety in the context of the incident at the rally, Andrew stated in a separate post that the ex-president could be the recipient of other such attempts in a more covert setting. He wrote:
"Campaign security protocol is the least of our worries. They tried the 'lone crazy gunman' bullsh** and they wont try that again. But they WILL try again. They have too now. Hes even MORE powerful than before. Have a lemonade from a bartender on a golf course? Trump is 78. 'Heart attacks' happen. PRAY FOR TRUMP."
In a subsequent post, he also made a comparison between the security detail of Donald Trump and that of Russian President Vladimir Putin. As per Tate, the assassination attempt would have been prevented if Putin's security had been present on the scene instead of Trump's. He wrote:
"Guarantee Putins security team would have seen a sniper on the roof."
Andrew Tate is not the only prominent right-leaning creator who has spoken out since the shooting. YouTube creator Blaire White made a controversial post on X, using the F-slur while describing individuals who talked about the attack on the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. by supporters of Donald Trump on January 6, 2021.
