Anonymous donor bids $500K to play video games with Twitch streamer Pokimane at the CDawgVA Charity Auction

Anonymous donors have reportedly bid $500K for an opportunity to do a video gaming session with Twitch star Pokimane in the ongoing charity auction by fellow streamer CDawgVA. For context, CDawgVA is currently holding a fundraiser featuring various content creators to raise money for the Immune Deficiency Foundation.

The IRL streamer is known for his charity work with the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF), and this auction is not the first time he has raised money for the IDF. Twitch streamer Pokimane is one of the participants in the auction and put up an experience where anyone in the world could bid to play video games with her.

It appears that the Moroccan-Canadian streamer's admirers are willing to pay a lot of money to get a chance to play with her and currently the highest bid for the experience has reached a staggering $500K.

Naturally, the news has garnered much interest on social media, with many netizens talking about the absurdly high monetary bid. Others have noted that the money will go to a good cause and thus should be seen as a big positive.

"WTF is going on": Pokimane reacts after CDawgVA's charity auction bid for playing video games with her reaches $500K bid

Pokimane is one of the many participants in CDawgVA's charity auction for the Immune Deficiency Fund that started today. A few hours ago she shared CDawgVA's post on X about what she will be putting up at the auction for people to bid, stating:

"The only time you can pay to play w/ me lmao"

CDawgVA had also noted that he was scared to see how high the bidding for Pokimane's item would go considering how popular she is in the streaming industry and it seems his hunch was right. Within a couple of hours after bidding started, the amount grew exponentially.

When a bid reached the $500K mark, Pokimane herself reacted on her official Instagram story with a screenshot of the auction page and the following caption expressing her surprise at such a high bid:

"wtf is going on.. the donations were capped and idk if this is real or what wosmsownes"

It is unclear whether the auction bids were in fact capped, and CDawgVA himself has expressed his shock at the $500K bid on Pokimane's game session.

Furthermore, the bidding is slated to continue till July 19 and the amount can very well exceed the current highest bid of $500K with three days left.
