Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" believes Haliey Welch, popularly known as "Hawk Tuah girl," should be jailed for the alleged rug pull of her meme coin. During a livestream on December 21, 2024, Asmongold reacted to Haliey Welch's response to the controversy, in which she claimed to be "fully cooperating and assisting" legal teams affected by her cryptocurrency.
Stating that she would "hold the responsible parties accountable" for the situation, the Hawk Tuah girl tweeted:
"I take this situation extremely seriously and want to address my fans, the investors who have been affected, and the broader community. I am fully cooperating with and am committed to assisting the legal team representing the individuals impacted, as well as to help uncover the truth, hold the responsible parties accountable, and resolve this matter."
According to Asmongold, Welch was conducting "absolute damage control." When one of his live viewers stated that the 22-year-old would be imprisoned for the cryptocurrency scandal, the Texas-based personality said:
"'Complete damage control.' It's absolute damage control. 100%, that's what's happening. 'She's going to put herself in jail.' She is."
Commenting on whether it was "her fault" to engage in the alleged meme coin rug pull, Zack said:
"'Was it really her fault?' It was something that she was responsible for. And so, whether it was her fault is something to be decided in the court. But if you think of it in the eyes of the public, was she at fault in the eyes of the public? The answer to that is abso-f**king-lutely! It's not even a question. Of course, she was! Yeah, duh."
The co-founder of One True King (OTK) went on to say that Haliey Welch "went crazy" while promoting her meme coin:
"'Why did she allow her name to be used?' Yeah! And she promoted it, she went crazy with this stuff."
Asmongold says the alleged cryptocurrency rug pull is the "end" of Haliey Welch, aka Hawk Tuah girl
Asmongold was one hour into his recent Twitch livestream when he commented on Haliey Welch's response to the cryptocurrency controversy. At one point, he stated that the alleged crypto rug pull would mean the "end" of the Hawk Tuah girl:
"Yeah, I do feel like this is probably the end of the Hawk Tuah girl. The 15 minutes of fame have already, you know, kind of extended their welcome and worn out their welcome. I think people have been pretty much looking forward to this. And, yeah, this is it."
