On July 8, 2024, Sketch addressed the controversy by providing details about what happened two years ago:

During a livestream on July 8, 2024, Asmongold came across Eric "McNasty's" X post, in which the YouTuber claimed that the NFL content creator would "lose his career for being gay." He wrote:

"Lowkey feel bad for Sketch. He's popular in the sports community, which is dominated by toxic masculinity and they are never gonna let him live this down. Bro is about to lose his career for being gay."

In response, the co-founder of One True King (OTK) stated that the 25-year-old would not lose his career. He explained:

"Honestly, I don't think that's what will happen. I think if the guy is funny and likable, then people are just going to not really give a f**k. Right? I mean, they're just not really just going to care."

However, Asmongold said some people would "care" about Sketch's situation:
