The latest episode of YouTube star MrBeast's Prime Video show, Beast Games, saw tensions escalate among participants as they took part in a unique challenge. This challenge involved contestants being placed inside multiple cubes, each housing three participants.
They had a limited time of five hours to pick one person among them to be eliminated from the competition. If no conclusive ending is reached by the end, all three participants will be eliminated from the challenge and lose out on the grand prize of $5 million.
These individuals were not strangers to each other either. The groups were created based on friendships formed over past challenges. As such, one cube's members decided to play a game to decide who would be eliminated. However, proceedings turned problematic when the losing individual refused to be eliminated and decided to take the rest of his teammates with him.
Beast Games contestant sabotages teammates during a challenge in show's third episode
As seen in a clip of the ordeal from the third episode of Beast Games, the three contestants inside the cube decided to play a game to determine which one of them would end up being eliminated. The contestants could use a phone which had been specifically placed inside the room. The phone had a sticker stating that the participants could "ask for anything," and they could utilize it to ask for any items to fulfill the challenge.
The game they decided to play included having to throw bottle caps inside a cardboard box placed at one end of the room from the opposite corner. The three individuals attempted to do so, with one of them failing while the other two passed.
However, instead of conceding, the losing individual, Connor, declared:
"Yeah, I'm out... actually, no, I lied. Bam! Bam! Bam! We're all gone... Yeah, I'm deada**, I'm not kidding."
One of the participants tried to plead with him, stating:
"Are you serious? That's so f**ked up! Please don't do this to us. Please! We agreed... I beg of you."
Eventually, the participant was seething with anger, and called Connor out for wasting the group's time:
"You shouldn't have set us up to play a game and then not do it. You are a piece of sh** for doing that. Legitimately wasting time in here, and hanging out and chit-chatting and talking."
In response, Connor repeatedly stated:
"You're wasting everyone's time."
In other news, in light of the poor critical reception of Beast Games by media powerhouse IGN, MrBeast claimed in a post on X that the show will become better in terms of intensity and storytelling over the upcoming episodes. He claimed that the narrowing down of participants in future episodes will make Beast Games even more engaging.
