Beta Squad member and popular YouTuber Niko Omilana has once again hit the news after pulling out a sign with "L" written on it while outgoing UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was delivering his farewell speech. For those unaware, the UK is currently having its general elections, and Omilana is among the independent candidates.
The YouTuber ended up winning 160 votes for the constituency he was representing (Richmond and Northallerton). It was the same constituency that Sunak was battling for (23,059 seats won).
During Sunak's farewell speech, the camera captured Omilana holding a piece of paper with the "L" sign on it ('L' being Gen Z terminology that stands for 'Loss' or 'Loser'). Despite the camera trying to cut him out, the stunt was there for all to see. Watch the viral clip here:
It's unclear if Omilana will be reprimanded for the act. However, it's increasingly likely that he will document the entire process and share his journey in the general elections via his YouTube channel.
