YouTuber Tyler Oliveira has found himself in hot water after releasing a video in which he "investigated George Floyd's 'murder." In the 52-minute feature, the content creator sought to investigate whether George Floyd died at the hands of a "racist White cop" or as a "career criminal in police custody." This is what Tyler Oliveira is seen saying in the video:

"Was the death of George Floyd a racist White cop murdering an innocent Black man? Or was this the unfortunate death of a career criminal in police custody with a potentially lethal amount of fentanyl in his blood, an underlying heart condition, and the added stress of resisting arrest and being restrained by the police, leading his heart to fatally go into cardiac arrest and dying? Leading to this viral video we all saw without any of the crucial context leading up to it."

The YouTuber's video has garnered considerable traction on social media, and netizens on platforms such as Reddit and X have expressed their dissatisfaction. X user @bigdeathotn voiced their dismay with Oliveira and the comments left under his video, writing:

"The comments on the video are a breeding ground for anti-Blackness. They are literally trying to argue that he died of an 'overdose' and that the police had nothing to do with it. F**k Tyler Oliveira and all the Black pick mes entertaining this bulls**t," the user remarked.

Another online community member commented:

"Tyler Oliveira is an untalented Channel 5 for chuds," X user @quincy_x_ posted.

X user @SwellTakes' post about the 24-year-old's video received over 3.7 million views and 78.8k likes. They wrote:

"We've reached levels of Hitler I never thought possible," the post read.

Here's what the Reddit community had to say about Tyler Oliveira's video:

"I already marked his channel as 'do not recommend' so I've stopped getting his videos recommended to me. Looks like he's still pumping out his dogs**t reactionary slop videos," Redditor DS_3D commented.
"This might be the worst video I've seen in a while," Redditor Drawing_Initial said.
"Is anyone remotely shocked by this? Tyler is a hilariously incompetent grifter who's willing to spew some truly heinous, often fascist s**t. I don’t know if he does it for clickbait or if he sincerely believes it but it doesn’t matter, because at the (end of the) day he's a horrible racist liar," Redditor YaGirlCassie remarked.

Tyler Oliveira's recent controversy regarding YouTuber Nick Johnson

Tyler Oliveira made headlines on September 4, 2024, when he announced that he was suing YouTuber Nick Johnson for allegedly issuing a false copyright strike against his documentary. In a now-private video, Oliveira accused Johnson of "illegally trying to delete" his YouTube channel, alleging that the latter was abusing the platform's copyright system:

"If he really cared this much, he could've DM'd me. He could've emailed me. We could've had a conversation. But Nick Johnson is a YouTuber, he knows that you can abuse the system if you so want to."

As of this writing, Tyler Oliveira has not responded to the backlash over his recently uploaded video.
