Tyler1, best known for his intense League of Legends streams, took on Elden Ring in a highly anticipated marathon event. Elden Ring has taken the streaming world by storm in 2024, with streamers like Kai Cenat going viral playing the Soulslike game. Kai averaged over 114,000 viewers playing Elden Ring and now Tyler has decided to do his own take on a marathon.
Tyler started his journey on Elden Ring on September 10, 2024, and since then, he has reached the final boss of the title's DLC. Along the way, he fought Messmer the Impaler, a boss known within the game's community for being incredibly tough to beat.
The boss essentially launches a chaotic and relentless barrage of unpredictable attacks, with continuous combos, searing flames that drain health, and devastating explosions capable of causing instant destruction.
Tyler1 managed to defeat Messmer, about 88 hours into the marathon, and fans on Reddit's r/LivestreamFail reacted, with some like u/Thisrainhoe praising him:
"This dude beat the boss then went to sleep on the floor, actually built different".
Others like u/Shwalz spoke on Tyler's progress, saying he has achieved quite a bit in a short period:
"He’s flying through the DLC, it’s kinda impressive".
Some like u/BagScared6150 shared his views on Tyler1's attitude towards the DLC, stating that the Soulslike community has an ideal way the game should be played and Tyler, although successful in his gameplay, has not conformed to that ideal:
"It took him 3 days to beat your so-called 'hard game', the Souls community on absolute cope, it's actually funny how he triggers people by just playing the way he wants because you are supposed to play a certain way or a specific build in order to enjoy 'this' game".
u/ScrillaMcDoogle speculated that the reason why the streamer has made it so far into the game, with relative ease, is because of his character build:
"Every clip I see of this run, he just gets hit by everything. Must be a solid build".
Tyler1 expected to finish his Elden Ring marathon with over 1,300 deaths
After finally starting his Elden Ring journey on September 10, 2024, Tyler1 made a big entrance by cosplaying as a Roman soldier (similar to how Kai Cenat started his marathon) and kicking off with his trademark high energy. However, the challenge of Elden Ring quickly showed itself, with Tyler racking up nearly 100 deaths within the first couple of hours.
Tyler has been known to rage easily. This is why his marathon involving Elden Ring, a game players are often easily frustrated by, has gained so much attention. As of this writing, the streamer is averaging nearly 17,000 viewers per stream and has over 1360 deaths on Elden Ring. He is yet to defeat Radhan, the DLC's final boss, and is expected to complete the game by September 14, 2024.
