Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., a.k.a. DDG, continues to catch heat online after he announced breaking up with Halle Bailey on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Recently, TikToker @frankie_aab shared a post suggesting that the Internet personality "trapped" Bailey with a baby and left.
The YouTuber, not appreciating the allegation, took to his Instagram Live to set the record straight, stating:
"CPM's not that high for you to be on there talking for two minutes about me."
To be noted, CPM stands for Cost Per Mile (mile is 1000 in Latin), referring to the money paid for 1000 impressions (or views).
In his live session, DDG made personal remarks about the TikToker, prompting her to roast him back. Here is a post by @theshaderoom about the exchange:
As the back-and-forth conversation went viral, internet users were quick to comment. One questioned why @frankie_aab was so invested in the YouTuber's life.
Many criticized the TikToker, commenting that she needs to mind her own business. Here are some comments seen under @theshaderoom's post on Instagram:
Others defended her, stating she gave her opinion. One even noted that Granberry made his "business" public first.
"Did you ever marry that girl?"- TikToker calls out DDG over insulting comments
In his Instagram Live, DDG, too, made personal remarks. He explained that he went through @frankie_aab's IG profile and remarked:
"You got two kids, I know... I looked in your Instagram, I looked in TikTok everything and you got two kids... with no baby daddy... But you worry about me."
The YouTuber also told his fans and people online to stop commenting on his life. Granberry panned the camera to show his son to assert he is present in his life, and added:
"Y'all need to stop, bro. I be seeing what y'all be saying."
Seeing the YouTuber's remarks, @frankie_aab clapped back. She shared another TikTok showing herself scrolling through Halle Bailey's Instagram, nothing that DDG was nowhere to be found, and adding:
"I need y'all to let me know when you see DDG on her page."
She sarcastically explained that if posting on IG is proof and if people didn't know about his and Bailey's lives, they should also assume he was absent from his son's life.
"It's funny that you try to use me being a baby mama as an insult when you turned her into a baby mama your damn self," she said.
Content creator @frankie_aab also elaborated that she shared the two children with her husband, adding that they are now divorced. She also remarked that her kids were with their father that week and hence not seen in the video, and questioned:
"Did you ever marry that girl?"
DDG and Halle Bailey first sparked dating rumors in January 2022 when they were spotted attending a concert together. They made several appearances together at public events, including film premiers, fashion shows, and awards ceremonies. They welcomed a son, Halo, together in January 2024.
In April, breakup rumors surfaced when the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. On October 3, the YouTuber confirmed their separation via an IG story. While Halle stayed silent, Granberry, on No Ordinary Podcast the same day, advised his younger self to avoid relationships to stay focused on his career.
DDG has not publicly reacted to the development.
