Charleston White claims Lil Durk's arrest is a boon for "black Americans"

Internet personality, Instagram celebrity, and former convict Charleston White has made a name through his expressive, controversial, and often provocative statements on industry-happening topics. His most incendiary remarks include targeted comments about race and violence, often involving high-profile figures and communities.

Recently, Chicago rapper Lil Durk was arrested for a potentially life-long jail sentence. According to federal indictments, Durk and members of his "Only the Family" (OTF) collective allegedly conspired to retaliate for the 2020 killing of rapper King Von, a close associate of Durk.

When news of the arrest came out, Charleston White went on a mini rant about the case, and how jail might look like for the rapper. His comments have over 1.4 million views on X, and following this virality, he decided to make additional statements on Lil Durk's plight.

Charleston White was indiscriminate about the arrest and joked about the matter in his original post. Following this, he doubled down and claimed that Durk's situation was a good thing for the African-American community:

"This is a real victory, now that demonic force, because it is a demonic force... it was a dark energy that came down from Chicago and spread throughout America... This is victory for law abiding black Americans who like hip-hop music without the killing part of it."

White minced no words in his follow-up video, which was structured interview-style. Charleston essentially stated Lil Durk was a negative influence over the hip-hop industry and the black community as a whole, mainly because he had incited and promoted gang violence in the past.

Charleston White was informed of the various Free Lil Durk campaigns surrounding the internet and he stayed true to his feelings while responding to the interviewer:

"Every day Imma wake up trolling... 'Free Lil Durk', keep him locked up."

Durk allegedly coordinated with several associates to carry out this plot, some of whom were arrested earlier on the same day as his attempted departure from Miami. The legal situation for Durk is serious, as he now faces federal charges and is expected to be arraigned in Los Angeles in the coming weeks.
