Twitch star Kai Cenat has congratulated Ironmouse after she broke his all-time record for subscribers on Twitch. While doing a charity stream for the Immune Deficiency Foundation on September 30, 2024, the VTuber surpassed Kai's previous record of roughly 306K subs.
Ironmouse seemed at a loss for words when she flew past Kai Cenat's record. While her VTuber model was stuck with a smile, the Twitch streamer could be heard crying tears of joy in the background before she thanked her supporters for helping her achieve the feat.
Kai, who is currently playing in the LBA with kids, addressed the fact that his record got broken in a press conference. He revealed to his young teammates that his Twitch "world record" had been broken as he congratulated Ironmouse:
"I want to say one thing, first things first, I don't know if you all know, my sub record got broken today. My world record for streaming? It got broken today. Somebody broke it, somebody took my record. I want to go ahead and congratulate Ironmouse. Clap it up!"
"We will see what happens in the future": Kai Cenat addresses Ironmouse breaking his Twitch subscriber record
Kai Cenat is arguably one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and he set the record for most subscribers on the platform last year in March when he accumulated over 300K concurrent subs. The monumental feat stood as the all-time record for over a year, with the streamer himself failing to break it despite highly popular marathons in 2024.
However, every record gets broken someday and Ironmouse blew past Ludwig, Ninja, and Kai's records during her current subathon. According to Twitch Tracker, she beat Kai Cenat by roughly 8,000 subscribers after she peaked at 314,000 subs on September 30.
Kai was quite gracious and congratulated Ironmouse on surpassing his record. In his press conference, the AMP member praised the VTuber and hinted that he will be fighting to reclaim the crown in the future:
"Look though, W Ironmouse you know what I am saying? She took the record. She really did that, you feel what I am saying? But I promise one thing to my supporters if it was broken. We will see what happens in the future."
Kai Cenat is currently playing with kids in his junior basketball league called the LBA. This has generated a lot of attention from the NBA community as well. ESPN presenter and sports analyst Stephen A. Smith sent a brief video during the viral LBA draft to troll the Twitch streamer when he failed to be included in the top three picks.
