A short clip of Kick streamer MikeSmallsJr trying to save his tent from being blown away by Hurricane Helene has gone viral on social media. The content creator dubbed the incident the “Hurricane in a Tent Challenge” and shared multiple videos of it online.
Viewers on social media websites like X were quick to recognize the potential danger of the stunt. One of the clips were shared by accounts like @DramaAlert, garnering over half a million views within a few hours.
In the videos, MikeSmallsJr could be seen battling strong winds to prevent his tent from being blown away. He later also had to deal with water flooding his tent. In a post on X, the Kick streamer even claimed that he could have died in the incident.

MikeSmallsJr shared three clips on X, explaining how he had been livestreaming from the “edge of the ocean” during Hurricane Helene. He also said he would never attempt such a challenge again, admitting that he could have died:
"HURRICANE IN A TENT CHALLENGE GONE WRONG. I WAS ON THE EDGE OF THE OCEAN TOO SMH. NEVER DOIN THIS AGAIN… ALMOST DIED FR"
In one of the clips, the Kick streamer seemed distressed, stating that it was his last stream on Kick. He implied that he might not survive as the howling winds deformed his tent and water began rushing in:
"It was a nice run, GGs chat. It's my last stream on Kick, last stream. I am going out with a bang! F**k the water, save me!"
Despite the dangerous stunt, MikeSmallsJr seemingly pulled through and got to safety with minimal injuries. He has since responded to the viral clips from his stream, reiterating that he would never attempt the challenge again.
"I’m never doin that sh*t again," wrote the Kick streamer in response to @DramaAlert's post on X.
MikeSmallsJr is a relatively small partnered streamer on Kick, with around 16K followers. According to his bio on the platform, he is 26 years old and lives in Tampa, Florida.
