A man was met with an accident while jumping over a car in a stunt that is reminiscent of the viral jump attempted by IShowSpeed. The individual slammed into the oncoming car after failing to jump high enough to clear it, causing him to hit the top part of the windshield. To those unaware, IShowSpeed had made headlines after performing a daring jump over two sportscars consecutively, with both hurtling toward him at high speeds.
IShowSpeed's jump had been done during a YouTube broadcast after he was alleged to have "faked" his previous jump involving one car, the video of which was uploaded to the 19-year-old content creator's Instagram account.
Man hits car after attempting and failing IShowSpeed's viral car stunt
In a clip of the stunt attempt, uploaded to X on August 18, 2024, the man can be seen running towards an oncoming hatchback car, as opposed to IShowSpeed's sportscars. The car used by the man was much higher in height than the ones used by IShowSpeed, which included a Lamborghini Huracan and a McLaren 720s.
Thus, instead of clearing the car, the man slammed right into the top part of the windshield, severely damaging the front of the car in the process. The individual himself suffered a severe impact, doing a flip in the air before landing on the road. However, within the last few seconds of the video, the individual can be seen conscious and moving.
Many netizens on X also compared IShowSpeed's viral stunt and the man's attempt to achieve a similar feat:
It is important to note that the original stunt by IShowSpeed could have led to similarly destructive outcomes, which is why it caused the YouTuber to receive a community guidelines strike from the platform's moderation on August 6, 2024. The strike had been given due to his participating in "dangerous activities". This ban effectively restricted him from holding a livestream for a period of two weeks.
Fortunately for IShowSpeed, the punitive ban against him was removed in only a few days. On August 8, 2024, the YouTuber posted on X, thanking YouTube for uplifting his ban and allowing him to broadcast freely once again.
