Kick streamer Jack Doherty is back in the headlines after a clip of him went viral. Taken from his June 16 stream, he seemingly used what appeared to have an uncanny similarity to the 'N-word.' Doherty is currently in Dubai. The streamer hosted an IRL stream yesterday, during which he responded to one of the viewers' comments, stating:
"Those orders on the screen are so unhygienic. Alright, you probably haven't had food in six days, f**king (followed by the word sounding like the 'N-word')."
The clip went viral and attracted further criticism to Jack Doherty's already controversial career. The streamer, however, responded via his social media account, addressing the allegations. According to him, he uttered the word "hater" and not the 'N-word' that people are assuming:
"I literally cannot believe that I have to do this right now. How the f**k do people think that I said the goddamn N-word? Are you re**rded? I literally said, hater. Watch the video back and when I said the word hater, say the word in your head. If you say the other word in your head, it makes it sound like it's the other word."
He added:
"I talk so fast that it sounds like it but I said hater. I say f**king hater all the time. If you watch any of my videos, you know I say that sh*t. Like, what the f**k is this sh*t. I'm gonna sue all these f**king people saying I said that word."
Why is Jack Doherty considered a controversial streamer?
Jack Doherty rapidly gained notoriety in the Kick streaming community, finding himself embroiled in several disputes and scandals. In March 2024, he attracted significant attention when a TikTok video, since removed, depicted him urging a child to utter a racially offensive term.
He has also been involved in various conflicts. For instance, in March 2024, he engaged in a heated exchange with Tristan Tate, a prominent internet personality. Tristan himself faced criticism for using a homophobic slur during the argument.
Recently, Jack Doherty encountered Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez during an in-real-life (IRL) stream. Later, he was seen expressing his frustration at Nunez for seemingly ignoring him and for the latter wearing two wristwatches.
