Controversial internet personality Steven "Boogie2988" has responded to claims that he was "sexually assaulted" during a recent episode of the LolCow Live podcast. On September 28, 2024, a one-minute clip from the LolCow Live podcast episode titled Boogie & Wings Are FINISHED! Wave 1 surfaced, with netizens speculating that Boogie2988 was sexually assaulted by a couple of strangers.

Popular commentary YouTuber WillyMacShow shared a screenshot of a few submissions posted on the official LolCow Live subreddit and wrote:

"So was Boogie2988 sexually assaulted when camping? Why do I keep seeing this? I feel like I'm going to watch this stream and it's going to be drunk people trolling each other. Reddit calls everything SA. So I will report back."

Later that day (September 29, 2024), Boogie2988 took to X to respond to the situation. While expressing gratitude for "people defending" him, the 50-year-old clarified that he was not sexually assaulted during the live podcast episode.

Claiming to have met the couple at Daniel "Keemstar's" Fourth of July party, the YouTube veteran tweeted:

"I really appreciate people defending me. But I was not sexually assaulted last night on LolcowLive. I met that couple at Keem's 4th of July party and I knew at some point they would be at the camp messing with me."

After explaining why he "yelled and cursed" the individuals, the content creator stated that netizens should "save words for actual victims of sexual assault":

"Yes, I yelled and cursed them out but I was being the dunk tank clown and making it entertaining for the folks (to) watch at home. At no point did I think that was actual sexual assault. Save those words for actual victims of actual sexual assault. I appreciate the support. I don’t get a lot of that these days. Love you guys."

A brief recap of the recent controversy involving Boogie2988

In July 2024, Boogie2988 was embroiled in a major controversy after Kick streamer Steven "Destiny" accused him of faking his cancer diagnosis. Things took a dark turn during a livestream on July 18, 2024, when Boogie2988 threatened to harm himself with a knife following a heated argument with Destiny.

On the same day, Keemstar announced that he had "fired" the YouTuber from his podcast in light of the scandal. A week later (July 25, 2024), Boogie2988 garnered attention on social media after he seemingly got "LIAR" tattooed on his face. This tattoo has since disappeared.
