Controversial content creator Ismael "Johnny Somali" was punched after livestreaming a chaotic brawl outside a bar. This was showcased in a YouTube video uploaded by the creator on his channel on June 13, 2024. The video shows Ismael filming two parties fighting each other, with several people on the scene, many inside as well as outside the bar.
The scuffle was so violent that stools could be seen being thrown from outside the establishment to inside and vice versa. As the commotion went on, Ismael could be heard commentating on the matter in the background, stating:
"Worldstar! Worldstar!... Oh sh**! Oh sh**! What the f**k?"
Johnny Somali gets punched while filming a brawl outside a bar in the United States
Contentious streamer Johnny Somali has been in the headlines in the past for his disruptive behavior in countries like Japan and Israel. Japanese resident and YouTuber Felix "PewDiepie" condemned his behavior in a YouTube video, calling him an "idiot". Within Japan, the creator could often be seen harassing citizens on stream and was eventually arrested after trespassing at a construction site. This resulted in his being deported from the country.
On the other hand, he was reportedly arrested in Israel after making questionable remarks towards a female police officer. Somali was eventually apprehended by a male police officer and put into a police car.
In the YouTube video uploaded by Johnny Somali shortly after returning to the United States, people could be seen punching each other at the entrance of the bar. Johnny censored the footage slightly, presumably so that it does not violate the Terms of Service of the platform. However, he provided a link for the "uncensored version" in the description, which redirected to a website where one could pay to see the unedited footage.
After the fighting had relatively calmed down, he was called out by the men on the scene for viewing the brawl as "entertainment". Johnny responded by stating:
"I'm on my vlog. Y'all n****s decided to act like apes on my camera, that's not my f**king problem."
This seemed to enrage the man, who then seemed to angrily approach and punch Johnny while stating:
"Ape? N***a, watch your mouth. I'm not an ape!"
After being called out by PewDiePie in a YouTube video, Johnny Somali accused the former of racism and anti-Semitism. In his response to Felix, he claimed that he had not been charged with trespassing and intended to return to Japan in the future. Further, he stated that the comments made by Felix were "defamatory" and contained "misinformation and lies". Subsequently, Johnny threatened legal action against Felix.
