YouTuber Antonio Ginestri (19), better known by his online alias "Squeeze Benz," has been arrested following charges of burglary levied against him. For those unfamiliar with Squeeze Benz, he is a New York-based creator known for making videos centered around reckless driving and speeding. He has, in the past, collaborated with the likes of Kick streamer Rangesh "N3on."
The creator was charged on Tuesday (July 16) with burglary. The burglary allegations dated back to February 2024 (took place around North Jersey). According to reports, Fairfield police officers were sent to investigate for burglary at Speedway Gas Station on Route 46 East. The accused was in a gray SUV (later identified as a BMW X7) with two other occupants.
Fairfield Police Public Information Officer Stacy Chiarolanza said this about Benz (transcript via nbcnewyork.com):
"The basis of his channel is to film himself driving hi-end cars in a reckless manner to entice a police response while wearing a full-face helmet to hide his identity. We thank all of the agencies who assisted in putting this case together in order to make an arrest."
Did YouTuber Squeeze Benz plead guilty to the burglary allegations?
YouTuber Squeeze Benz, notorious for his reckless driving stunts and subsequent online backlash, is now facing legal repercussions. In addition to public outrage, Benz has been charged with multiple counts of burglary.
According to a report by the New York Post, Benz had pleaded guilty to the crimes back in March 2024. The BMW mentioned earlier in the story was not the only stolen vehicle in his possession. Reports suggest that he also had a stolen motorcycle.
Subsequently, he was ordered to cough up $3,000 as restitution. It's worth noting that he is not the only one facing legal trouble. There were two other individuals (both minors) in the stolen BMW. The identities of the two minors have remained hidden.
Note: He has also been charged with employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime.
Reports have also said that he was initially arrested not due to his reckless driving, but for a supposed assault incident inside the Steinway Deli in Queens. The victim has stated that they were punched in the head.
Squeeze Benz has also been charged with crimes in other cities such as New York and Connecticut. At the time of writing, the YouTuber is being held in the Bergen County Jail, New Jersey.
