On January 6, 2025, Twitch and Kick star Felix "xQc" hosted a livestream to watch Nvidia's showcase at CES 2025. At one point during the event, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang presented a shield shaped like a GPU die. Posing in front of the audience, Huang raised the shield and pointed to the screen, telling them to "wait for it."

After not receiving the reaction he expected from the audience, the 61-year-old stated:

"I thought I was worthy. Apparently, you all didn't think I was worthy. All right, this is my show and tell. So, this NVLink system..."

xQc was taken aback after watching the incident live on the stream and described the moment as "cringe." Furthermore, he expressed a desire to sell his Nvidia stocks:

"A shield? Is that the size of the f**king chip they cut these days? Oh, my god! Cringe! Nope! No, stop! Okay, I'm selling my stocks, I'm not kidding. Nope! Nope, nope, nope! Absolutely not! Okay, sell. Sell! Oh, my god!"

xQc says people should "stop complaining" about the price of higher-end GPUs, as the Nvidia RTX 5090 starts at $1,999

Jensen Huang officially revealed the RTX 5000 series lineup and announced the prices of the various graphics cards during Nvidia's CES 2025 showcase. Here's how much the recently announced GPUs cost:

  • Nvidia RTX 5090 - $1,999
  • Nvidia RTX 5080 - $999
  • Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti - $749
  • Nvidia RTX 5070 - $549

After seeing that the Nvidia RTX 5070 cost $549, the French-Canadian personality exclaimed:

"Huh?! I'm buying!"

A few moments later, xQc noticed his live viewers expressing discontent with the Nvidia RTX 5090 costing $1,999. In response, the Twitch streamer stated that people should "stop complaining" about the prices of the high-end GPUs:

"Stop complaining about the price of the higher-end GPUs! It's not for you! Why are you complaining? It's not your product."
