Gerg, a Minecraft YouTuber boasting 732k subscribers as of this writing, has called out Thomas "TommyInnit" over a recent video on Alex "Technoblade." In an X post shared on January 22, 2025, Gerg shared a screenshot of TommyInnit's recently uploaded YouTube video, in which he raised money for the Sarcoma UK national charity.
While claiming to "know nothing" about the content creators, Gerg commented on Technoblade's demise in 2022, wondering how many times TommyInnit would "dance around the corpse for money":
"I know nothing about these people. But didn't this dude die like 5 years ago? How many times are you going to dance around a corpse for money?"
X user @StarShadeAlt responded, saying that TommyInnit provided details about his philanthropic effort at the beginning of his video.
"He says within the first 3 minutes, he's raising money for charity, and is literally joined by Tecno's dad," X user @StarShadeAlt responded.
According to Gerg, the Briton should have conducted a "charity drive":
"Then just do a charity drive, at some point it's ridiculous. You think they are gonna be 'raising money for Technoblade' 20 years later too? It's beating a quite literally dead horse."
When another netizen claimed that Gerg was "stepping on a nuclear bomb" with his opinions on the situation, the YouTuber replied:
"Apparently! I'm just not in the know with that whole group. It just seems like they keep milking the guy posthumously. From what I've read, though, that was his 'thing.'"
What was TommyInnit's recent charitable video about Technoblade?
On January 22, 2025, TommyInnit uploaded a 30-minute video titled, Raising Money for Technoblade. He announced raising funds for the Sarcoma UK foundation while playing Minecraft with Technoblade's father:
"This is a very special and exciting video I've got for you all today. Me and the wonderful, a true pleasure to be around, Mr. Technodad, hop on Minecraft together. He hopped onto my awesome world I've been playing on to raise money for Sarcoma UK. This is all from a charity stream, so you do get that wonderful sentimental stuff, but also, we had a good laugh."
