Clips from his YouTube video, titled "SURPRISING FRIENDS WITH BODY TRANSFORMATION!!," dated January 7, 2025, have quickly gone viral, amassing hundreds of thousands of views.
For context, Dobrik's last video was posted in March 2022. This means the YouTuber did not upload anything to his main channel for two years and 10 months. Naturally, fans were thrilled to see him back online after almost three years.

What was David Dobrik's bet with MrBeast? YouTuber's comeback video explored
In his YouTube comeback video, David Dobrik combined a condensed vlog of his fitness journey with a trip to see the Seven Wonders of the World. He was joined by his friend and trainer Ilya Fedorovich, the founder of Xeela Fitness.
Fedorovich was instrumental in David's body transformation, so much so that the fitness trainer earned a special mention in the description of the video:
"Thanks, Ilya."

For those curious about the motivation behind Dobrik's year-long body transformation, it stemmed from a bet with MrBeast. Towards the end of the vlog, around the 12-minute and 40-second mark, MrBeast and Dobrik explained the specifics of their wager to Fedorovich.
MrBeast had bet that Dobrik would have to buy 20,000 Feastables Bars if he didn't get "jacked" by the end of 2024:
"We bet, this is at the start of the year, that if he[David] didn't get jacked, he would have to buy 20,000 Feastables bars."
This was news to Fedorovich, as both Dobrik and MrBeast had kept the details of the bet from him.
Dobrik then surprised Ilya by revealing that he had won a car from MrBeast due to his successful fitness transformation:
"If I did get jacked? Jimmy would have to get you a car."
The video concluded with MrBeast presenting Ilya with a custom Feastables-wrapped Lamborghini as a reward for winning the challenge.
In related news, David Dobrik has had his fair share of controversies. In 2023, he was sued for $10 million by a former crew member, who was allegedly injured while filming a video.
