DBR, aka DBR666, is an IRL Kick streamer who recently garnered a lot of backlash online after being accused of harassing Twitch streamers at TwitchCon. The content creator addressed the controversy on September 24 after being banned from Kick, with co-founder Ed Craven intervening and punishing streamers on the platform.

In a post on X, DBR666 defended Kick and claimed that all backlash should be directed towards him as an individual and not a representative of the platform he streams on:

"I AM AN INDIVIDUAL. MY ACTIONS RIGHT OR WRONG DO NOT REPRESENT KICK. IF I DID THE SAME STUFF ON ANY PLATFORM, I WOULD BE LABELED AS JUST ‘STREAMER.'"

"I will be better": Controversial Kick streamer DBR666 apologizes after getting banned

For those unaware, DBR666 incurred a lot of negative reactions online after a clip of him kissing and inappropriately touching Twitch streamers Wakewilder and Nmplol went viral on social media.

In the clip titled Nick and Wake get assaulted, the Kick streamer can be seen approaching the Twitch creators during TwitchCon and kissing them. The video has garnered widespread condemnation. However, that wasn't the only problematic action that DBR666 had done during the convention.

Another clip of him confronting the Twitch CEO also went viral on social media after the Kick creator asked Dan Clancy about employee wages. Regardless, in his post on X addressing the whole controversy, DBR666 claimed he would do better after coming back from the suspension.

"I HAVE BEEN BANNED OFF KICK AND I WOULD LIKE TO SAY WHENEVER I SHOULD RETURN TO SOCIAL MEDIA, I WILL BE BETTER…"

In a subsequent post, he called out people equating his bad behavior at TwitchCon with all Kick streamers and claimed that there are very good people on the platform who do not deserve to be lumped in with his mistakes. DBR666 also slammed people for being overly critical of Kick, writing:

"THE POINT IM TRYING TO MAKE IS THERE IS ALOT OF WHOLESOME LOVELY STREAMERS ON KICK. BUT YOU PEOPLE WILL NEVER SPEAK ON THEM. EVERYONE IS WAITING FOR SOMEONE ON KICK TO DO ANYTHING BAD IN ORDER TO BLAME KICK. WE ARE ALL HUMANS, OUR ACTIONS REFLECT ON US ALONE," wrote the streamer.

It is unclear when the controversial streamer's Kick ban will be lifted, but as of now, several creators on the platform remain suspended due to their actions at TwitchCon.
