Steven Kenneth Bonnell II, popularly known as "Destiny," has revealed the video that led to his permanent ban from Twitch. For those unaware, Destiny's official Twitch channel was suspended indefinitely in 2022. While there were many speculations about why the Amazon-owned platform took the decision, some netizens believed that the Nebraska native's account was permanently suspended because of the comments he made about the trans community.
On October 28, 2024, Destiny posted an 18-second video from his old livestream, stating that the things he said during the broadcast were the reason Twitch permanently banned him.
Here's what the 35-year-old was heard saying in the video:
"'Your one-on-one voice trans debates lately have gone well. Don't cancel.' It's just not worth it. That community is never worth engaging with. There's just no point... like, the risk for me, like, ending up getting, like, perma-banned and my life destroyed because of these, like, inbred f**king disgusting losers is, like... it's just not worth it. It's totally not worth it."
Commenting on the situation, the Kick streamer wrote:
"So this is the clip that I was perma-banned from Twitch for, lol. I should've been talking about Jews instead I guess smh (shaking my head). Still hosted on Twitch servers: (download link for the 18-second clip the streamer posted on X)."
Dan Saltman makes bold claims about Twitch staff allegedly disliking Destiny
On October 27, 2024, a video from Dan Saltman's YouTube livestream went viral on Reddit, in which he made bold claims about Twitch staff allegedly disliking Destiny. According to Saltman, an alleged Twitch employee supposedly stated the following about the political commentator concerning his permanent ban:
"This guy is in Destiny's ticket, in his file, there's a thing in there that says, 'Do not even f**king touch Destiny's account or even think about unbanning him until you talk to me.' That's who this guy is right here. This is the guy. The guy!"
Dan Saltman added:
"And, he's like, 'What's the problem with hiring someone that was previously stepped down in front of parliament for hating Israel? I think they're totally based! Based!' This is the person in the file, 'Do not unban or touch this without first reaching out to me.'"
As of this writing, Twitch has not officially revealed the reason for Destiny's indefinite suspension.
