"Don't lie to the people" - Adin Ross claims Kick did not sign Dr DisRespect because he asked for "too much money"

Adin Ross has made a rather bold claim about Hershel "Guy," aka "Dr DisRespect's" recent controversy with Kick. For those out of the loop, on October 12, 2024, a 43-second video surfaced on X, in which Kick co-founder Ed "Eddie" Craven stated that signing Dr DisRespect to the platform made "zero sense."

The Australian billionaire also claimed that bringing the "Two-Time Champ" to Kick would be a "waste of money" and would "do more harm" to the platform:

"Making a deal with Dr DisRespect, from a financial and a business perspective, right now would make zero sense. Right? Like, it would do more harm for Kick, and it would be a waste of money at this point in time, is my opinion. From a business perspective, it would be a waste of money."

The Doc commented on the situation on October 15, 2024, stating that he would "retire" before considering joining the Stake-backed platform:

"I'd retire before considering streaming on Kick. My community is the best in the industry... I wouldn't take it there. There's a reason why they keep dropping my name. Think about it."

During a livestream earlier today (October 16, 2024), Adin Ross accused Dr DisRespect of "lying to people." According to him, the 42-year-old was having "serious conversations" with Kick. However, The Doc asked for "too much money," and the livestreaming platform "turned him down."

Ross said:

"So you'd rather go to Twitch, the platform that tried to ruin him, than Kick? That makes no sense. It's actually not true, by the way. I'm not going to vouch for you, but as someone that has equity of Kick, an equity owner, I can vouch that he was in serious conversations with Dr DisRespect about coming to Kick. He wanted too much money, and that's why he got turned down.

"So Dr DisRespect, don't lie to the people. You were trying to come to Kick. You were having a conversation with I'm not going to say who, but you know who, and you were going to come, but you didn't get offered as much money as you wanted."
