Controversial Rumble streamer Herschel Beahm, better known as Dr DisRespect, has said that he wants to forgive and forget his "backstabbing" friends who turned their backs on him during all of the controversies in 2024. For context, in early 2024, Herschel was at the center of allegations of grooming and sexting with a minor.

In June 2024, a post on X from a former Twitch employee claimed that Dr DisRespect had been banned from the Amazon-owned streaming platform in 2020 because he had allegedly sent inappropriate messages to an underage individual using the now-discontinued Twitch whispers.

While Dr DisRespect denied any wrongdoing, soon after he had acknowledged that he had been in contact with a minor, many streamers who happened to be his friends such as TimTheTatman and Nickmercs distanced themselves and criticized him. In a post on X dated December 31, 2024, Beahm called out his friends who had seemingly turned their backs on him:

"The people who pretend to have your back when the cameras are rolling, but disappear when it gets tough. Trust me I’ve seen it all in this space… the fake smiles and backstabbing. A lot of people out there act like your “friends” until it’s no longer convenient for them."

That said, Dr DisRespect seems to be extending an invitation to those friends so that they can reconcile. Claiming he was willing to "forgive and forget", the Rumble streamer wrote:

"And let me tell you, I don't f*ck with that…. but at the same time, I’m also the type to forgive and forget. And for those that did leave, if you ever want to come back, the Arena will always be wide open."

Dr DisRespect thanks his community for "staying true" amid the 2024 controversy

Dr DisRespect has experienced quite a turbulent year after the allegations surfaced in June. Since then, he has made multiple statements about the issue. On top of losing friends and getting lambasted online, Midnight Society, the game development company he founded, cut ties with the streamer days after the allegations became public.

In September, the streamer was demonetized on YouTube, the platform he had been using to stream and create content since his permanent ban from Twitch in 2020. Meaning, one of his main sources of revenue was cut off. In spite of this, Dr DisRespect has maintained a steady number of viewers. in his recent post on X, he thanked his community for standing by him:

"That's why I want to thank my community for staying true. For being the real deal. You’re the reason we keep climbing higher, breaking boundaries, and changing the game. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved in these almost 10 years in the Arena."

Now that Dr DisRespect has joined Rumble, headlining the Rumble Exclusive part of the platform, the controversial content creator reiterated his plans for the future years:

"I absolutely love what I do. Making people laugh, empowering individuals, playing video games, having fun… and 2025 we’ll continue to do just that. We’re gonna push the envelope while trying a lot of new ideas, raising the bar for what it means to be a partner, a brand, and a community."

Dr DisRespect recently got monetized on X as well, launching the Behind the Shades show for the social media platform.
