Minecraft content creator Clay "Dream" recently took to X to announce that he is bringing a fresh new series, Minecraft Manhunt 2, and will be putting up its first episode for his next upload. He will publish episodes as part of it regularly, a first since his Minecraft Speedrunner vs Hunters series.
Dream has stated that Minecraft Manhunt 2 will potentially be uploaded during the upcoming weekend, which is August 17 and 18, 2024. This will be the creator's second upload in more than half a year, with his last video being uploaded on July 31, 2024. In his latest X post, he wrote:
"My next upload will be the first episode of Minecraft Manhunt 2."
Dream announces new YouTube series in a post made on X
Dream is one of the biggest Minecraft content creators on YouTube, with him still holding significant influence within the game's community with over 32 million subscribers to his name. He was also responsible for creating the Dream SMP, an invite-only server formed by him and fellow Minecraft creator GeorgeNotFound.
However, he and many other members of this group, such as Wilbur Soot and Tubbo were later caught up in several controversies. Dream was first hit with grooming allegations in 2022, while Wilbur Soot was accused of physical abuse by his former girlfriend.
On the other side, Tubbo was hit with "false" accusations of sexual assault by a user on X, which he had later tried to disprove.
In his post on August 11, 2024, Dream revealed that he had been polishing the concept behind his upcoming series for nearly a year. Further, he stated that he had only "started filming attempts" for the series the night before he made the tweet. He stated:
"The new concept has basically been in the works for over a year now and we just started filming attempts last night. I’m hopeful for an upload next weekend. then the new series/season begins!"
Dream SMP co-creator GeorgeNotFound was also the subject of a massive controversy that involved him being accused of sexually assaulting a Twitch streamer when she was 18 years old and had supposedly graduated high school just a few weeks ago.
