Minecraft YouTuber Clay "Dream" has commented on his subreddit r/DreamWasTaken2 in response to Twitch streamer Ludwig recently saying that Dream called his friend a "wh*re". This revelation came after Dream mentioned this during his recent Twitch livestream addressing his ongoing drama with TommyInnit and Tubbo.
With Ludwig giving his take on the entire drama, Dream has responded through his Reddit comment by claiming that Ludwig "misremembered" and did not explain the situation in a "fair" manner while making matters supposedly sound "way worse" than actual reality:
"Ludwig slightly misremembered, and didn't explain in a super fair way imo it makes me sound way worse than what actually happened"
Dream then went on to summarize the situation in a few points:
"tldr; I dmd ludwig suggesting he make a video, and offering myself for question. Ludwig replied and eventually said that I jokingly called one of his friends a wh*re. Due to the fact that a friend of Nicolas Cantu's had recently falsely said that 'I got slapped at a party for calling a girl a wh*re', I asked him if that's what it was about. He said no, and that he can't tell me more information because he doesn't think it's worth resurfacing it for her sake. I replied with a message about that, and then said I'd also provide context to the other situation just in case he was just telling me it's not about that situation (to 'protect' the person's identity) even though it was, because I had no idea about any other situation."
Dream shares supposed messages he sent to Ludwig after the latter accused him of calling his friend a "wh*re"
After Dream brought up the matter during his recent broadcast covering his feud with Tubbo and TommyInnit, Ludwig revealed the reasons why he did not make a Mogul Mail video regarding Dream's video, titled The Truth, in which the latter responded to allegations of grooming in 2023.
Ludwig stated that he had not decided to publicly talk about Dream supposedly calling his friend a "wh*re", and only decided to do so after Dream brought it up in his recent Twitch video. Furthermore, Ludwig claimed he received messages from Dream in which the Minecraft YouTuber was "defending himself" while talking about another individual entirely. Thus, he decided not to respond to Dream's messages at the time.
Ludwig also stated that he did not want to make the Mogul Mail video on Dream's address of the grooming allegations because he had been asked to make a video on the topic by Dream, which is typically something that he claims deters him from actually making the video himself:
"The third reason, by the way, I didn't make the video, I've been asked to make videos a couple of times by people, instantly, that makes me not to make videos about them. Like, instantly!"
In the messages he supposedly sent, Dream claims to jokingly refer to his friends using the word "wh*re", but also clarifies that he never meant anything negative when he has used it in the past:
"I will completely and fully say that I have called friends of mine jokingly whore's / sluts / whatever, GUYS ANDS GIRLS, but only with people that joke along with it, or have expressly said they don't care, and again, only with friends of mine... I would never use it that way, never ever meant anything negative when I've ever said it, and never have used it to insult or demean anyone, in any way. I don't know the situation you're talking about, and obviously it's seemingly a bad look to have "multiple instances" where I called a girl a whore lmao, but I just cannot fathom that I called a stranger a whore, even jokingly, regardless of whether I was drunk or not."
In his recent video directly addressing Dream, TommyInnit slammed the 25-year-old YouTuber for casual use of the "R-word" to describe TommyInnit's fanbase as part of the meme shared by him. TommyInnit stated that using the word this was "immature" and claimed that doing so sets a bad precedent for others.
