Tech billionaire Elon Musk, the executive chairman of X, has declared that he will remove advertisements from Twitch political commentator Steven "Destiny's" channel following certain posts aimed at former president Donald Trump supporters. The drama began after Destiny made several offensive posts on X regarding those supporting Trump in light of the recent assassination attempt on him.

Among other remarks, Destiny used an ableist slur while describing an individual who passed away after being inadvertently shot during the Trump rally. Making an insinuating comment within the context of the assassination attempt, he wrote:

"If I've offended anyone with my recent tweets, I'd like to make things right, DM me and I'll buy you front row seats to the next Trump rally."

Some netizens pointed these posts out to Elon Musk, claiming that Destiny violated the content policy of X and thus should be permanently suspended from the revenue program of the platform. In response, Elon Musk put out a post on X agreeing that the content being put out by Destiny on the platform was not suitable for advertisers. He wrote:

"You're right, this is not appropriate content for advertisers."

Controversial Twitch creator Destiny is a known proponent of liberalism and has labeled himself an "Omniliberal" in the past. He stated that he believes in the ideals of liberalism (such as liberty and equality) while aiming to apply the best elements of the other ideologies pragmatically.

After Donald Trump was shot at during a rally in Pennsylvania, many internet personalities chimed in on the matter on X. However, many of the posts made on X by Destiny involve the creator disparaging the individual who passed away after being hit by a stray bullet from the shooting.

Calling the individual out for supporting a "traitor," he wrote:

"A person in a crowd cheering for and supporting a traitor to this country caught a stray? I'm so sad, please."

Further, he also made comparisons between the victims of the ongoing war in Gaza and the individuals who passed away at the rally. Stating that the former was worth "100x more respect," he wrote:

"For every MAGA that was giggling along with my edgy Palestinian tweets, I hope you realize every single Palestinian civilian that gets bombed and killed in Gaza is worth 100x more respect than any loser who gets wasted at a Trump rally. Don’t be selective with your laughs now!"

YouTube creator Blaire White also gave a controversial opinion on X in the context of the incident involving Donald Trump. In a post, she called those who brought up January 6, 2021, the day of the attack on the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.
